Abstract: A method of decontaminating a room or space, comprising the steps of providing a cold-mist decontamination device capable of generating an atomized mist comprised of a decontaminant and water, inputting into an internal processor the parameters of the room or space and the concentration of the decontaminant in the decontamination solution, measuring the temperature and humidity in the room or space, and determining the maximum amount of the decontamination solution that can be introduced into the room or space in atomized form without condensing the decontaminant on surfaces within the room or space.
Abstract: A free radical sterilization system having a chamber defining a region, and a generator for generating free radical reach effluent from a free radical electric generator and/or a vaporizer. A closed loop circulating system without a free-radical destroyer is provided for supplying the mixture of free radicals from the electric generator mixed with the hydrogen peroxide solution in the form of the effluent to the chamber. The free-radical sterilization system is used in sterilizing items in the chamber and, with an open-bottomed wound chamber, in treating wounds on a body.
Abstract: Provided is substrate processing apparatus including processing chamber that dries substrate W using high temperature and high pressure fluid, raw material accommodating unit that accommodates raw material in liquid state, and supplying unit that supplies the high temperature and high pressure fluid to the processing chamber. The supplying unit includes sealable outer vessel connected to the processing chamber and the raw material accommodating unit, and inner vessel provided within the outer vessel and configured to receive the raw material. The inner vessel is provided with opened holes portions configured to drop down the raw material toward a portion of the outer vessel to be heated. After the raw material is accommodated in the inner vessel, the raw material is contacted with the portion to be heated and then heated. A high temperature and high pressure fluid is then obtained and supplied to the processing chamber.
Abstract: A chemical vapor sterilization process is enhanced by flowing a portion of the sterilant vapor through an instrument container using a normal portion of the exhaust process. Preferably, an exhaust conduit which draws a vacuum on a sterilization chamber is oriented so that the container is adjacent an inlet to the conduit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for ripening fruit, such as bananas, comprising a chamber containing a frame in which at least two rows of loaded pallets are placed one above the other, in such a way that there is a free space on either side of the rows of loaded pallets, and comprising cooling means for the cooling of fluid provided in the lengthwise direction along the frame, and circulation means for conveying the fluid from one longitudinal side of the frame to the other longitudinal side, in such a way that a pressure difference arises between the space at one longitudinal side and the other, as a result of which the fluid flows back essentially in the horizontal direction through the load on the pallets from one longitudinal side to the other.
Abstract: An apparatus for heating food articles including a chamber containing a plurality of vertically, spaced-apart supports, each having a hollow interior which is interconnected by a single conduit. A thermostatically controlled steam generator is connected to the single conduit serving to both transmit steam to the supports and return condensate water back to the steam generator to thereby heat the food articles.
