In operation, liquids draining from the composting material pass through the at least one aperture into the channel and out through a portion of the channel extending through the dovetail.

The interlocking brackets include multiple holes of sufficient size to allow a substrate such as concrete or asphalt to flow therethrough to anchor the tactile plate assembly in place. The slide gates, one at each side of the special flow distribution modules, are adjusted as to the depth of penetration down into the plenum, so as to close the sides of the flow distribution channel to varying degrees along the length of the channel, effective to balance the flow of gases up through the perforations in the platform modules. The proper gate setting can be determined empirically after erection of the filter bed platform, by flowing gas through the platform and checking the distribution of gas exiting the holes in the modules.

The evaporator envelope has a lower flexible planar sheet and an upper flexible planar sheet, each having inner surfaces located in a back-to-back spaced apart relationship. The evaporator envelope has an upper end wherein the lower and upper flexible planar sheets are fluidly sealed to the inlet floodbox, and a lower end wherein the lower and upper planar sheets are fluidly sealed to said outlet manifold. Mylar brand polyester is used for construction of the evaporator envelope. A marginal area on each side extends lengthwise transversely beyond the inlet floodbox and the outlet manifold to provide sloping sidewalls for containment of a working product.

The device consists of a flat surface (back plate) with holes and dowels to tack the individual primary turkey tail feathers in a desired drying position. A stabilizing block is placed in the chemical tray over the meaty part of the turkey tail and fastened to the back plate with a bolt and wing nut.
