  • Publication number: 20100299954
Abstract: A device for refreshing fabrics by reducing malodors and/or wrinkles without requiring that the fabrics to be put through an entire standard laundry process. The device comprises an extractable drawer which is pulled out of the device to allow for loading of a fabric into a receiving region. The extractable drawer can then be closed transporting the fabric into the interior of the device. A fabric treatment composition is sprayed or otherwise dispensed onto the fabrics when the device is operated. The device comprises an air flow path and a heating element which allows for the fabrics to be treated during use. • Publication number: 20100011611
Abstract: A method for controlling fragrance spray for a clothes dryer, comprising: a clothes inputting step of inputting an object to be dried into a drum of a clothes dryer; a steam spraying step of spraying steam into the drum of the clothes dryer; a first fragrance spraying step of spraying fragrance into the drum of the clothes dryer during the steam spraying step; and a second fragrance spraying step of spraying fragrance into the drum of the clothes dryer after the steam spraying step has finished. Since fragrance is firstly sprayed into the drum of the clothes dryer while steam is sprayed to the clothes during the drying step. Then, the fragrance is secondarily sprayed into the drum after the steam spraying step has finished. This may allow fragrance to be more effectively deposited onto the clothes inside the drum, and may enhance a drying effect by steam.

  • Patent number: 6569331
Abstract: The method and apparatus for processing of animal excreta or manure for further use or environmentally friendly disposal introduces a new first stage and ancillary elements for improved processing of manure material. The improvement involves an initial process to rapidly sterilize the material to remove undesirable microorganisms prior to further processing. This new first stage processing results in a refined end product for further use or environmentally friendly disposal. Additionally, ancillary equipment for digesting the initial material input to extract methane gas for use as a fuel in the process is included. Further, a thermal oxidizer to treat extracted gasses created in the new first stage process is used to reduce pathogens, other pollutants and toxic gasses prior to passing the gas to the environment.

  • Patent number: 5881475
Abstract: This method relates to a non-draining type human waste disposal by pulse combustion drying. In the method, a pulsating combustion gas is discharged downward into a vertically cylindrical dryer from a pulse combustor disposed at the top of the dryer, and making contact the pulsating combustion gas with residue-removed human waste, digester chamber sludges or their mixtures charged therein, turning the charged matters to dried powder and steam under the dryer conditions of 120.degree.-150.degree. C., withdrawing the dried powder from the bottom of the dryer and the combustion gas containing steam from a lower side of the dryer, dust-removing the combustion gas containing steam maintained at 120.degree.-150.degree. C., deodorizing the dust-removed combustion gas, and exhausting the deodorized gas into the air. As an alternative method, the dried powder and the combustion gas containing steam are withdrawn from the bottom of the dryer, the withdrawn material maintained at 120.degree.-150.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5749163
Abstract: An apparatus for the manufacture of wrinkle-resistant garments is disclosed which includes a housing enclosing a drum which is rotatable on a generally horizontal axis, whereby when the drum is rotated with garments disposed therein a tunnel defined by the garments is formed. Mounted on a door secured to the housing is an atomizer unit positioned to discharge a durable press resin in the form of a mist through a hole in the door and into the garment tunnel when the door is closed. In practice, durable press resin is fed into the atomizer unit while the garments are being tumbled until the garments are sufficiently wetted with the resin. The wetted garments are then ready for curing to impart wrinkle-resistant properties to the garments.
