Support Surrounds Hollow Article Patents (Class 34/441)
  • Patent number: 10914521
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and method to perform drying and testing of organometallic and organosilane precursor source ampoules that have been cleaned for re-use. The drying and quality control testing is performed in a single location with a single apparatus requiring only one manual connection/disconnection step of the ampoule to the apparatus. The testing includes analyses for residual moisture, entrained particulate matter, differential pressure, and helium leak checking.

  • Patent number: 6784673
Abstract: A condition sensor for a fabric treating apparatus, such as a clothes dryer. A condition sensor is connected to a base wherein the condition sensor is operative to sense a condition such as moisture content for a multi-layered load placed within the dryer. The condition sensor comprises at least one support connected to the base wherein the at least one support has at least one extension attached thereto. A pair of capacitance sensors are attached to the at least one extension with the pair of capacitance sensors being arranged to build up charge through the condition sensor based on the moisture of the load content positioned in the dryer. A circuit is arranged to receive, read and generate signals in response to the charge of the capacitance sensors.

  • Patent number: 6385862
Abstract: An apparatus for use in drying articles defining internal cavities within a conventional clothes dryer includes a manifold and a plurality of tubes extending therefrom. Each of the tubes is provided with various, circumferentially spaced and longitudinally extending ribs. The apparatus is adapted to be mounted within the clothes dryer, with the manifold being seated about an exhaust outlet of the dryer and a shoe, glove or the like to be dried being placed over a respective tube. Air flow into the dryer is caused to flow along the tubes, between adjacent ribs, into an internal cavity of the article, then into the manifold through the tube, and finally out of the dryer through the exhaust outlet.

  • Patent number: 6228421
Abstract: A coating fluid for forming a phosphor screen is coated on an inside surface of a glass panel having a wall portion provided with a wall portion edge at an outside surface of the glass panel. Then, the coating fluid on the inside surface of the glass panel is dried after facing the inside surface of the glass panel downward and placing the wall portion edge onto a panel support stand in a manner that the panel is supported on the support stand primarily by the wall portion edge. Since the glass panel is placed on the support stand in a manner that only the edge portion contacts the support stand, the scattering of coating fluid during this placement can be prevented. As a result, a uniform phosphor layer can be formed on the inside surface of the panel without decreasing the productivity for making such a glass panel on which a phosphor layer is formed.

  • Patent number: 6212793
Abstract: An apparatus and method are presented for drying and storing laboratory containers which significantly reduce the introduction of contaminants into the containers. A laboratory container system includes one or more containers and a rack for holding the containers in an inverted position. Each container has a base portion, a column portion, and a receptacle portion. A lateral dimension of the base portion is greater than that of the column portion. During use, a container is inverted, and the column portion is inserted between sides of a slot in a flat member of the rack. The spacing between the sides of the slot is sufficient to allow the column portion to pass therebetween, but not the base portion. As a result, the base portion of the container contacts an upper portion of both sides of the slot, and the container is suspended from the rack by the base portion in an inverted position.
