    Abstract: An oven configured for drying a container. The oven includes a housing defining an interior space including a supply chamber and a return chamber. A conveyor is configured for movement within a portion of the interior space of the housing defined by a plurality of semi-circular shaped duct sections connected at each end of the semi-circular shaped duct sections to a straight duct section. Each duct section includes two side walls coupled to a back wall defining a continuous U-shaped duct path through which the conveyor moves. The oven is further configured to provide a temperature difference between any two points within the interior space of the oven housing controlled to plus or minus two degrees Fahrenheit, by a uniform air flow throughout the oven. The uniform air flow is facilitated by the sizing and spacing of various circular orifices and slotted orifices in the continuous duct path.

The invention makes provision for the heat exchanger (12) to be equipped with upright heat-exchanger plates (13), from which the condensate can run off. The condensate can then be discharged in a specific manner out of the heat exchanger (12).

Because evaporation may lower the temperature inside the sealable chamber, an infrared lamp may be used to heat the chamber and sample therein directly or heated air may be allowed to enter the sealable chamber in response to the vacuum created by the vacuum pump. Air may be drawn directly from the sealable chamber to the vacuum pump bypassing the cold trap. A load cell may be placed in the bottom of the sealable chamber to monitor the weight of a sample to determine if the drying process is complete. Other parameters could be used, including the degree of vacuum achieved in the chamber.

In the method for sealing of the pocket space: a wire (5) is moved supported by the first and the second cylinder (2, 3, 4), a gap between the pocket space (15) and the space outside (24) it is sealed by a runnability component (6), which comprises at least a sealing surface (19, 22) and a blow nozzle (21) provided with a nozzle slot (26) of a size of 0.5-3.5 mm and elongated in the cross direction, the sealing surface (19, 22) is kept at a distance of 5-15 mm from the moving wire (5), air is blown with the blow nozzle (21) from a blow point (27) and along the sealing surface (22) towards a sealing point (16) and further via the sealing point (16) away (24) from the pocket space. The invention comprises also a runnability component (6) and a method for manufacturing the same.
