Abstract: An integrated solar energy drying system, including: a solar greenhouse, a solar energy storage bed, an air condenser, a wet dust collector, pipes, valves, and blowers. The solar greenhouse includes: a top side, three sunny sides, a shady side, floorboards, a gas inlet, and two gas outlets. The solar energy storage bed includes: an upper air box, a lower air box, a plurality of solar heat collecting-storing pipes, and a sealing chamber. Each solar heat collecting-storing pipe includes an air pipe. The air condenser includes: an air inlet, an air outlet, two gas chambers, and a bundle of gas pipes. The solar greenhouse, the solar energy storage bed, the air condenser, the wet dust collectors are connected via pipes. The valves and the blowers are disposed on the pipes.

Abstract: A drying device in which temperature and humidity of a gas flow fed into each of plural helical dryers in the form of a cylinder (i.e., temperature and humidity of an exhausted gas flow) can be each controlled independent of the other dryers. The drying device, is equipped with a casing.
Abstract: Disclosed is a humidor having means for controlling the humidity therein and having one or more transparent surfaces permitting viewing of the interior thereof. The humidor has means for lateral access to the contents therein and the depth of said container is substantially smaller than said width, thereby conserving space. Means are provided for displaying products, such as cigars, in a substantially vertical position for viewing through the transparent surfaces. In a preferred embodiment, the container is adapted to placement upon a shelf. In a preferred embodiment, an integrated environmental control unit that controls both temperature and humidity is described.
Abstract: A method and arrangement for drying a paper to be surface-treated, in particular fine paper, in an after-dryer in a paper machine. The paper web is first dried in a forward dryer section of the paper machine by one or more groups with single-wire draw that are open downward on support of a drying wire, the paper web is then finished in a finishing section, e.g., surface-sized or coated, and thereafter, the paper web is dried by an upwardly open inverted group with single-wire draw. In the inverted group with single-wire draw, the tendency of curling formed in the paper web in the forward dryer section can be substantially eliminated and/or compensated for.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a coaxial waveguide applicator for an electromagnetic wave-activated sorption system which comprises at least one sorber having a metallic tubular housing defining an outer conductor and first and second ends which are sealed to define an enclosure within the outer conductor; a sorbate/sorbent compound located within the enclosure; the sorber including a port through which a sorbate may be communicated into or out of the enclosure; a metallic inner conductor extending into the outer conductor and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sorber; an electromagnetic wave generator; and a waveguide for coupling electromagnetic waves generated by the electromagnetic wave generator to the inner and outer conductors; wherein electromagnetic waves transmitted by the electromagnetic wave generator are propagated through the enclosure by the inner and outer conductors to desorb the sorbate from the sorbate/sorbent compound.
