Electric Heater Patents (Class 34/553)
  • Patent number: 5443541
Abstract: This invention relates to a clothes dryer which can successfully cope with operation when the air circulation path is partially blocked. The dryer is of a type having dual heating elements and during conditions where blocking exists, the heat generation is reduced by disconnecting one of the heating elements while air is circulated thru the dryer.

  • Patent number: 5424513
Abstract: The method and the device for carrying out the method are used for producing transformers (27, 28, 29) which are filled with insulating means, especially transformers for distribution systems. In the case of the method, solid insulation of the transformers is dried in the device before addition of an insulating means, in that the low-voltage windings are short-circuited in every transformer, and the parallel-connected high-voltage windings (30, 31, 32) are heated by means of a low-frequency AC current. In this case, the mean temperature of the windings of the transformers is determined at the same time by measuring the low-frequency AC current, in order thus to make it possible to dry the solid insulation well.

  • Patent number: 5421097
Abstract: In a temperature control method of a photosensitive material drying device relating to the present invention, a photosensitive material is heated and dried by drying air heated by a heating device. A temperature of a member heated by the drying air is detected, and operation of the heating device is controlled so that the temperature of the member is maintained within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 5387256
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a small-capacity coffee roaster in which, even when roasting small quantities of raw coffee beans using direct-contact heat, the temperature can easily be controlled within the range vital for the roasting of coffee beans, and proper roasting can be accomplished in a short time. The roaster 10 comprises a stirring blade 12 provided at the bottom inside a roasting container 11, a ring-shaped sheathed heater 13 provided at the upper part of the container, an exhaust opening 7 having a smoke-removal filter 14 provided in the top wall of the container, and a temperature sensor 17 for detecting the temperature of the container provided on the underside of the bottom wall of the container. In addition, the container is made of good heat-conducting aluminum.
