A microporous filter positioned at the outlet and being adapted to convert the air flow from the outlet to a diffuse flow, the microporous filter being formed of an inner layer of very fine screen for optimum air diffusion and an outer layer of courser woven screen to add rigidity and protection from scuffing.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2007Date of Patent: June 28, 2011Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: Michael J. Publication number: 20110119947Abstract: High performance grains dryer fed by a heat generating source (1) through hot air stabilizers (2) linked to the drying column (3) and the drying tower (4), which is constituted by a series of parallel ducts (5), between which passes the downstream vertical flow of grains (6), unevenly set in oblique alignment and fed so that each duct (5) that operates as hot air entry (E) presents laterally adjacent ducts that operate as used air exit (S), causing the appearance of air flows crossed to the right (7), crossed to the left (8), concurrent (9) and countercurrent (10), the adopted air flows varying along the drying tower (4), decreasing along the same, while the perimeter walls (11) of the dryer (1) are equipped with particles separators (12) that generate air flow to the dryer (1) and separate the particles expelled by the drying process, re-conducting them to the burning in the furnace through return ducts (13).Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2009Publication date: May 26, 2011Inventor: Otalicio Pacheco Da Cunha

Patent number: 7913415Abstract: The device for drying laundry 1 by means of a current of air comprises a drum 2 to accommodate the laundry 1 and a ducting system 4, 5, 6, to direct said current of air. The ducting system 4, 5, 6 has a section 4 arranged downstream of the drum 2, in which the current of air is directed downwards and in which is arranged a filter 8 to capture lint 9 from the current of air. A scraper 15 is assigned to the filter 8, in order to scrape off the lint 9. The receptacle 19, 20 has a handle 21 and two interlinked shell elements (19, 20) which can be separated from each other, and which define a storage volume to accommodate the scraped-off lint (9). According to the invention, lint 9 thus scraped off can be removed from the device and disposed of, without the user needing to come into direct contact with the lint 9.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2006Date of Patent: March 29, 2011Assignee: BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeraete GmbHInventors: Roman Goldberg, Kai Nitschmann

Publication number: 20110030235Abstract: The invention proposes a method for drying bulk goods, in particular wood fibers and/or wood chips, wherein the bulk goods is continuously dried in a dryer (1), in particular a drum dryer. The vapor-gas mixture flows through the drum dryer (1) in a dryer circuit and is indirectly heated via at least one heat exchanger (4) by a burner waste gas that is heated in at least one burner (5). The drying vapors are supplied to the at least one heat exchanger (4). Upstream, downstream and/or within the at least one heat exchanger (4), at least a partial flow of the drying vapors are branched off to be conducted into the burner (5). The remaining partial flow is conducted to the dryer (1) again. The partial flow of drying vapors to the burner (5) is driven by means of at least one regulable partial vapor fan (10).Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2009Publication date: February 10, 2011Inventors: Zdenek Brancuzsky, Günter Hensel, Karel Napravnik, Wolfgang Seifert

Publication number: 20110016736Abstract: Disclosed is a clothes dryer, comprising: a body; a drum rotatably installed at the body; a duct for guiding air exhausted from the drum; and a filter assembly for filtering lint included in the air exhausted from the drum. The filter assembly includes a lint filter and a cover filter, and a lint collector encompassed by the lint filter and the cover filter. The clothes dryer includes sensing means for sensing whether the lint filter has been mounted to a precise position or not. The sensing means consists of a magnet mounted to a mesh frame of the lint filter, and a reed switch mounted to a cover guide.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 2, 2009Publication date: January 27, 2011Inventors: Jae-Seok Kim, Ju-Han Yoon

Patent number: 7805856Abstract: A device for drying laundry by means of a current of air includes a drum to accommodate the laundry and a ducting system to direct the current of air. The ducting system has a section arranged downstream of the drum in which a filter is arranged to capture lint from the current of air. A scraper is movably mounted over the filter. This filter is a channel arranged in an approximately horizontal manner and in the form of an inverted arch. The scraper has a foil resting on the filter in a sprung manner, the scraper being curved in accordance with the shape of the channel. Moving the scraper along the longitudinal axis of the filter scrapes lint off the filter and into a collection reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2006Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeraete GmbHInventors: Jörg Gaβmann, Roman Goldberg, Kai Nitschmann
