Housing Or Casing Patents (Class 340/13.32)
  • Patent number: 8892179
Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a first housing, a second housing and a coupling portion movably coupling the first housing and the second housing to each other. The first housing includes a guide groove formed in a surface of the first housing facing the second housing that restricts a direction of movement of the first housing and the second housing with respect to each other. The guide groove includes a bottom portion. The coupling portion includes a coupling main body fixed to a surface of the second housing facing the first housing, a guide pin protruding from the coupling main body so as to be able to advance and retreat within the guide groove and including a tip portion, the tip portion being housed in the guide groove, and an urging member urging the guide pin toward the bottom portion of the guide groove.

  • Patent number: 8810357
Abstract: A medical supply unit includes a bus system for transmitting instructions of control elements to actuators. The bus system is provided with transmitters and receivers being connected to each other by a transmission system. Via the transmission system, commands of the transmitters are transmitted, which are controlled by the control elements, and the responsive receiver transfers the command to a switching instruction at an output of the responsive receiver so as to control an actuator.

  • Patent number: 8248540
Abstract: In a broadcast signal receiving apparatus, a remote controller has, as one of a plurality of buttons thereof, a state changing button for instructing to change a source to be reproduced by a main body. The main body or the remote controller has a memory storing a first state changing table indicating an order in which the source is changed. When the state changing button is operated, if the broadcast signal is being received by the tuner portion and reproduced as the source, the main body performs state change such that the first source in the first state changing table is specified as the source to be reproduced by the main body.

Abstract: Presented is a control system for augmenting a portable touch screen device having integral processing capability. The control system includes an enclosure configured for housing the portable touch screen device, an internal docking connector configured for communicatively mating with the portable touch screen device, and hard buttons. At least one of the hard buttons is functionally configured for use with an application program running on the portable touch screen device. The control system further includes first and second cameras disposed on the enclosure. The control system further includes a processor configured for converting button actuations into a digital format, and a first facility for communicating the digital format to the portable touch screen device via the internal docking connector. The application program is configured such that, during operation, the application program communicates the status of the one hard button to at least one external device.

  • Patent number: 8130085
Abstract: A power line communication apparatus, device control apparatus, and device control method are disclosed. By controlling the phase of AC power with reference to a zero cross point during power line communication, the power line communication apparatus enables not only data to be transmitted and received in a manner robust against noise and impedance but also the receiving end to be miniaturized. The power and operation of household devices can be controlled through the power line communication apparatus, thereby eliminating the need for separate communication networks when a remote control system is built in the home.

  • Patent number: 7999660
Abstract: An electronic device (100) is configured to deliver a localized haptic feedback response (101) to a user. The electronic device (100) includes a device housing (107) and an interface assembly having a display lens (202) or other user interface surface and a motion generation device (212) affixed to the interface assembly. A compliance member (204) is disposed between the device housing (107) and the interface assembly. The compliance member (204) suspends the interface assembly from the device housing (107) and permits the interface assembly to physically move relative to the device housing (107) in response to actuation of the motion generation device (212), thereby delivering a localized tactile response to a user.
