Patent number: 8182548Abstract: An electronic device security and tracking system. A system includes one or more clients, wherein the clients are electronic devices; and a server computer system connected to each of the clients, wherein the server computer system is capable of tracking and locating each of the clients. In one aspect, the server computer system includes one or more web servers coupled to each of the clients, wherein the web servers include a website for the electronic device security and tracking system; one or more file transfer protocol servers coupled to each of the web servers; and one or more database servers connected to each of the web servers.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2008Date of Patent: May 22, 2012Assignee: Softex IncorporatedInventors: Apurva Mahendrakumar Bhansali, Manoj Kumar Jain, Shradha Dube, Gayathri Rangarajan, Mehul Ramjibhai Patel, Rayesh Kashinath Raikar, Kamal Mansukhlal Dhanani, Ranjit Kapila, Elza Abraham Varghese, Thomas David Tucker

Patent number: 6727815Abstract: A fire alarm system may comprise a control center, a wired communication pathway connected to the control center, and a relay station having a receiver and a signal evaluation circuit connected to the communication pathway. First decentralized alarm boxes may be wired to the communication pathway, and second decentralized alarm boxes may communicate with the receiver of the relay station via a wireless channel, wherein the first and second alarm boxes, in case of fire, produce an alarm signal which is transmitted to the control center via the communication pathway. A set of separate coupling modules may be disposed in the relay station and may be disconnectably connected to the signal evaluation circuit and the communication pathway via appropriate connecting elements, the coupling modules being designed for different communication modes.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2002Date of Patent: April 27, 2004Assignee: Job Lizenz GmbH Co., KGInventor: Gerhard Röpke

Publication number: 20030146823Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and to an arrangement for evaluating in a defined space or area a delimited area (7) in which there is a degree of urgency greater than the degree of urgency in respect of the remainder of said space (1), wherein there is disposed within said space or area (1) a plurality of sensors which can evaluate the current or ongoing degree of urgency on the basis of one or more criteria. Selected sensors (2, 3, 4) shall be connected to computer equipment (50) which includes storage elements (52, 53, 54) adapted for storing current criteria-related values in a chosen time order, and wherein a calculating circuit (51) included in or connected to said computer equipment (50) is adapted for evaluation of a calculated degree of urgency on the basis of time-dependent changes in the evaluated current values, and determining and establishing the local orientation or geographic location of the delimited area through the medium of the calculating circuit.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2002Publication date: August 7, 2003Inventor: Lennart Karl Erik Jansson

Patent number: 5061919Abstract: For a raster-scanned, video display apparatus, individual pixel display data is stored in a double image frame buffer. A valid count buffer then holds a count for each pixel. Current valid counts are stored, as at times of image buffer updating which updating includes storing display data changes and a fraction of the total display (background). At times of display, current counts from the count buffer are tested against valid counts as stored for each pixel in the valid count buffer to determine the selection of display data from the image frame buffer or alternate background data. A window frame buffer resolves the display into windows that are accommodated by the system with valid counts for each window.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 1989Date of Patent: October 29, 1991Assignee: Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp.Inventor: Gary S. Patent number: 4267549Abstract: A fire alarm pull station protector is provided comprising a wall mounted framing member and a cover adapted to abuttingly engage the framing member. The cover is pivotally connected to the framing member by hinge means having a laterally displacement pivotal axis to permit the cover to remain disengaged from the framing member once the cover has been opened to gain access to the fire alarm pull station. The cover includes a first, preferably opaque, portion which conceals a local alarm and switch unit, as well as a substantially transparent portion which provides a substantially unobstructed view of the pull station.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1980Date of Patent: May 12, 1981Inventor: John D. Patent number: 4087803Abstract: A local alarm apparatus mounted on a conventional alarm box to provide an audible and visual alarm that a fire alarm is being sent so that passersby will take notice .of the sender in the event a false alarm is sent. The audible and visual alarm is connected in parallel with the main fire D.C. alarm circuit so that activation of the main circuit will activate the local alarm. The local alarm is coupled to and powered by an A.C. power supply located at a remote location and coupled to the conventional fire alarm transmission lines.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1977Date of Patent: May 2, 1978Inventor: Vincent Dransfield
