Abstract: In implementations of search input generation for an image search, a computing device can capture image data of an environment scene that includes multiple objects. The computing device implements a search input module that can detect the multiple objects in the image data, and initiate a display of a selectable indication for each of the multiple objects. The search input module can then determine a subject object from the detected multiple objects, and generate the subject object as the search input for the image search.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus, system and method for managing medication. In an aspect, an adaptable pill organizer comprises of at least one or more rectangular units for containing pills. Individual units and/or rows of seven units- attach and detach from one another in order to create a custom pill organizer. The adaptable pill organizer further employs electronic capabilities which: allow user to input, store and display information on the pill organizer; provide lighting means for the device; provide various automatic and/or commanded physical responses to usage of the device such as the lighting of a unit, or the opening and closing of a unit; provide programmed alarms; communicate data messages and usage information with third party devices; and store and provide access to user medication and medication schedule information.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating an alarm signal upon detecting movement of an object over a time that is greater than a field settable allowed movement time. The method includes the steps of locating a housing with respect to the object, setting the allowed movement time for the object, monitoring the movement of the housing, detecting a movement that exceeds the allowed movement time of the housing, generating an alarm signal, and transmitting by wireless transmission the alarm signal to a remote receiving station. Setting the movement time for the object is achieved by the following steps: powering the apparatus while depressing a tamper switch, initiating a time counter, moving the object an acceptable distance, releasing the tamper switch, stopping the time counter, and reading the allowed movement time from the time counter.

Abstract: The invention relates to a three-phase asynchronous electric motor for domestic appliances, comprising power elements, such as triacs or relays, for charge control. The power elements other than the relays are controlled by at least one microcontroller with the aid of an optical insulation means, ensuring electronic programming and also control of the motor with the aid of a command. The microcontroller or microcontrollers are references to a zero potential of a recovery and filter block feeding the motor. The controller can be applied to a washing machine in order to control the electric motor which rotationally drives the drum.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for rapidly analyzing frame(s) of digitized video data which may include objects of interest randomly distributed throughout the video data and wherein said objects are susceptible to detection, classification, and ultimately identification by filtering said video data for certain differentiable characteristics of said objects. The present invention may be practiced on pre-existing sequences of image data or may be integrated into an imaging device for real-time, dynamic, object identification, classification, logging/counting, cataloging, retention (with links to stored bitmaps of said object), retrieval, and the like. The present invention readily lends itself to the problem of automatic and semi-automatic cataloging of vast numbers of objects such as traffic control signs and utility poles disposed in myriad settings.

Abstract: An alarm signaling device (5) operable to produce an alarm signal and, possibly, communicate emergency announcements when triggered by a signal from a central alarm control panel. The alarm includes a speaker or other sound producing device and a silencing circuit (14) that can be engaged by a person in the room to temporarily disable the speaker. The silencing circuit includes a timing circuit (30) and a switch (32) consisting of a pair of touch contacts (38, 40) that are activated by body resistance. The timing circuit (30) is operable to automatically re-enable the speaker after a predetermined time period has been measured. Furthermore, though the speaker has been silenced by the silencing circuitry (14), a reactivation circuit (15) continues to receive and process signals in order to identify a re-enablement signal by its particular frequency and duration.
