Document Authentication Patents (Class 340/5.86)
  • Patent number: 11822557
Abstract: A system and a method facilitating access to and use of contextual identity information during law enforcement encounters for minimizing confrontational tensions are disclosed. A user updates information corresponding to a user, his/her associates, and a vehicle on a government server and an insurance server. A law enforcement official uses a law enforcement device to access the government server, the insurance server, and a law enforcement server. The law enforcement official accesses the government server, the law enforcement server, and the insurance server to verify the identification of the user and the vehicle. The system allows the law enforcement official to have required information on the law enforcement device to verify the identification of the user and the vehicle. The law enforcement official verifies the identification at ease thereby reducing potential hostile situations with the user.

  • Patent number: 11809582
Abstract: The present innovative solution solves the problem of managing secure documents so that they can be verified, and protected from tampering and illegal printing. A legal document is converted to a secure document by embedding into the legal document one or more security codes that have been encrypted with a standard of proprietary cryptographic algorithm. The security codes are supplemented by a QR code associated with the archive location of each page of the secure document, and stored at a server or database. The security codes stored in the document and can be printed together with the document, as a form of watermark, using UV-sensitive ink or toner at a security printer. The security codes are encrypted and can be printed on varying locations in the secure document pages, which are defined in a geolocation template, separately transmitted in encrypted format.

Therefore, a file managing circuit manages, of the received target files, a file that is designated as confidential, having been subjected to output restriction, as a confidential designated file. In addition, the file managing circuit manages a file that is not designated as confidential, as a user file. In addition, the file analyzing circuit compares the user file with the confidential designated file. If the content of the user file is similar to the content of the confidential designated file at a rate equal to or higher than a certain value (for example, 80%), the file analyzing circuit applies output restriction to the user file.

Abstract: Techniques have been developed for transmitting and receiving information conveyed through the air from one portable device to another as a generally unperceivable coding within an otherwise recognizable acoustic signal. For example, in some embodiments in accordance with the present invention(s), information is acoustically communicated from a first handheld device toward a second by encoding the information in a signal that, when converted into acoustic energy at an acoustic transducer of the first handheld device, is characterized in that the acoustic energy is discernable to a human ear yet the encoding of the information therein is generally not perceivable by the human. The acoustic energy is transmitted from the acoustic transducer of the first handheld device toward the second handheld device across an air gap that constitutes a substantially entirety of the distance between the devices.

  • Patent number: 9544541
Abstract: A videoconferencing system has a videoconferencing unit that use portable devices as peripherals for the system. The portable devices obtain near-end audio and send the audio to the videoconferencing unit via a wireless connection. In turn, the videoconferencing unit sends the near-end audio from the loudest portable device along with near-end video to the far-end. The portable devices can control the videoconferencing unit and can initially establish the videoconference by connecting with the far-end and then transferring operations to the videoconferencing unit. To deal with acoustic coupling between the unit's loudspeaker and the portable device's microphone, the unit uses an echo canceller that is compensated for differences in the clocks used in the A/D and D/A converters of the loudspeaker and microphone.

Abstract: In an embodiment, to deter or delay counterfeiting/cloning of a replacement component of a host device, the replacement component is provided with a code value. The code value is generated from a value of at least one physical parameter of the replacement component and is stored on the replacement component. The host device determines whether the replacement component is authentic if the stored code value matches a reference code value.
