Abstract: The present invention relates to a real-time holographic reality display system with an automatic motion capture device which synchronizes real-time motion coordinate data of a performer to a virtual 3D character in a computer device for transmission of image data to a realistic holographic reality display unit for synchronous performance. In the present invention, data is transmitted to a virtual character in a computer device from a motion capture device worn on a performer for completion of real-time image formation and transmission of image data to the holographic reality display unit, which consists of a robotic arm, a mounting bracket and a hologram LED fan display for effectuation of real-time holographic reality display.
Abstract: The persistence of vision rotary display device is a display that presents 2-D and 3-D images that appear to float in midair through the timely energization of a plurality of LEDs that travel in circular paths on a rotor. The rotor is driven by a motor mounted in a stator; the stator may be mounted to a fixed structure or held in a user's hand. The device achieves a resolution that is not limited by the physical size of the LEDs by mounting LEDs on multiple arms with a different offset from the center on each arm. Control electronics in the rotor map the image to polar format and adjust the timing of the LEDs to compensate for the fact that they may be on different arms. The device may present moving images by changing the image at a predetermined frame rate.
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, comprising at least one light emitting diode (LED) that is controlled by the RFID's logic and powered by the RFID's power harvesting circuit, wherein the RFID tag is capable of being interrogated by an RFID reader and reporting its unique identification number by RF backscatter and/or controlling the illumination state of the at least one LED.

Abstract: An indicator for a vehicle instrument cluster includes a number of pointers concentrically mounted with respect to the instrument cluster. The pointers are illuminated via a common light source. The pointers may be configured to indicate a reference value and an actual measured value (e.g., vehicle speed).
Abstract: The present invention is a traffic control apparatus to further control a flow of traffic. The traffic control apparatus comprises a base structure which supports a figurine, wherein the figurine is operational to help solicit attention from the flow of traffic. The traffic control apparatus further comprises a method for creating a perceptible safety warning using a combination of the base structure and the figurine.
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for the controlled return of a pointer driven by a stepping motor in the event of failure of the supply voltage includes a control circuit for actuating the stepping motor. The supply voltage at least for the control circuit for the stepping motor is buffered with at least one buffer capacitor, the capacitance of the at least one buffer capacitor being such that the buffer capacitor supplies the control circuit for the stepping motor with electrical power at least until the control circuit has moved the pointer driven by the stepping motor to a default position. The default position is a zero position in relation to the scale on the display apparatus or to another indicated value which is noncritical in relation to the scaling on the display apparatus.

Abstract: A display device having a multiple columnar arrangement of colored light sources on a carrier. The carrier and mounted light sources are moved, either rotated or swung as a pendulum, within the display device to create a recurring visual image. A control unit within the display device controls actuation of the colored light sources and movement of the carrier such that individual colored light sources are actuated at a point within a surface region to achieve a color mixing at that point.
Abstract: Luminous signs, specifically those with the ability to change the presented information sequentially, include an electro-mechanical system that produces the synchronized overlapping of two or more preprinted films with translucent properties, in such a way that with an internal luminous source, the sign is capable of creating the effect of real movement, and in the night or in the darkness, the information images displayed by the sign seem to float in the air. The present invention also provides an illuminated sign with the capability of displaying such information or images on more than one of its surfaces.
