  • Patent number: 10530177
Abstract: Techniques for charging a battery within an implantable component (implant) of an implantable medical device system. A multi-loop external charging device includes a plurality of coil/loop antennas that are each configured to emit a magnetic field that is received by an implantable coil of the implantable component. At least one characteristic (e.g., phases, amplitudes, etc.) of the emitted magnetic fields are varied relative to one another over time.

  • Patent number: 10139453
Abstract: In a voltage monitoring apparatus, a capacitor circuit includes at least one capacitor. Input-side switches are connected to electrode terminals of at least one battery cell, and apply voltage to terminals of the capacitor. A voltage detection circuit includes a pair of voltage sensing terminals connected to terminals of the capacitor, and detects the potential difference across voltage sensing terminals. Output-side switches are connected to terminals of the capacitor, and apply voltage across terminals of the capacitor to the voltage sensing terminals. An impedance circuit is connected to the voltage sensing terminals. A stabilizing power circuit is connected to the voltage sensing terminals via the impedance circuit, and stabilizes voltage of the voltage sensing terminals. Based on the detected voltage when one of the output-side switches is turned on, an on-failure of the remaining output-side switches which should not be turned on are detected by a control unit.

  • Patent number: 9222805
Abstract: A circuit system for evaluating a sensor, wherein the circuit system comprises two complex impedances (2, 3, 13, 14), wherein the complex impedances (2, 3, 13, 14) are each part of a resonant circuit in which the complex impedances (2, 3, 13, 14) can be excited to perform oscillations, and wherein at least one of the two complex impedances (2, 3, 13, 14) are part of the sensor, is characterized with respect to a particularly cost-effective and as simple a circuit design as possible in that a counter (9, 18) and a switch apparatus (8, 16) are provided, wherein the counter (9, 18) can be used to alternately count the oscillations of one of the two resonant circuits, the switch apparatus (8, 16) can be switched when a specifiable counter reading has been reached, and the switch signal of the switch apparatus serves as a pulse width-modulated output signal (11, 21) for the circuit system.

  • Patent number: 6243023
Abstract: An encoder comprises position detecting device for detecting a magnetic pole position and a rotational position of a motor. The encoder also includes a memory portion for storing parameter information particular to the motor or the position detecting device. A transmitting portion of the encoder is provided for externally transmitting parameter information particular to the position detecting device as a differential signal. A transmission suspension request detecting device is provided for detecting that the differential signal is driven by a given signal externally provided such that the differential signal does not exist as a transmission signal and for generating a transmission suspension request signal requesting suspension of transmission of the differential signal.
