Omega Patents (Class 342/396)
  • Patent number: 11137510
Abstract: Common transmission points can be used to monitor a seismic reservoir. First and second common transmission points (CTPs) are received. For each of the first CTP gather and the second CTP gather, the traces before the CTP can be aggregated, and the traces crossing the CTP can be aggregates. The aggregated before CTP traces from the first CTP gather can be compared with the aggregated before CTP traces from the second CTP gather to determine a first time difference. The aggregated cross CTP traces from the first CTP gather can be compared with the aggregated cross CTP traces from the second CTP gather to determine a second time difference. A third time difference can be determined based at least partially on the first time difference and the second time difference.

  • Patent number: 10737002
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes applying a drive signal to a pump assembly of the pump system, the drive signal alternating between a positive amplitude and a negative amplitude and the drive signal having an offset, and sampling a pressure within a fluid flow path configured to connect the pump system to a wound dressing configured to be placed over a wound during one or more time intervals. Each of the one or more time intervals can occur when the drive signal is approximately at an amplitude equal to one or more sampling amplitudes.

  • Patent number: 10469184
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe mechanisms for radio frequency (RF) ranging between pairs of radio units based on radio signals exchanged between units. An exemplary radio system may include a first radio unit, configured to transmit a first radio signal, and a second radio unit configured to receive the first radio signal, adjust a reference clock signal of the second radio unit based on the first radio signal, and transmit a second radio signal generated based on the adjusted reference clock signal. Such a radio system may further include a processing unit for determining a distance between the first and second radio units based on a phase difference between the first radio signal as transmitted by the first radio unit and the second radio signal as received at the first radio unit. Disclosed mechanisms may enable accurate RF ranging using low-cost, low-power radio units.

  • Patent number: 4701760
Abstract: A method for monitoring vehicles from a central station, consisting of obtaining the approximate coordinates of each vehicle from signals transmitted by stations of the world omega network and using a vehicle-carried receiver. These approximate coordinates are corrected by reception and processing means, connected to fixed radiogoniometry beacons. Processing means connected to the vehicle-carried receiver supply the real coordinates of the vehicle to a vehicle-carried transmitter, the real coordinates being transmitted in coded form to a receiver of the central station. A bilateral sound communication between the station and the vehicles can be conducted by the communication means. Alarms on board vehicles can be transmitted to the station.

  • Patent number: 4680590
Abstract: Three fixed reference stations having known positions comprise Omega receivers. Phase measurements made at all three stations are assembled at a master station, utilizing landlines or radio links and, using the known positions of the stations, a central processing unit calculates not merely the offset of the master station as measured from the true position but also the errors in the azimuths of the propagation directions of the received signals. The position measurement of a vehicle with an Omega receiver is corrected on the basis of the offset and also the errors in the said azimuths. Sufficient accuracy is achieved for finding the position of land based vehicles whose position may be calculated subject to the corrections in the master station on the basis of raw data transmitted to the master station over a link. Alternatively the azimuth corrections may be transmitted to the vehicle over the link. Two fixed stations suffice if they can measure absolute phase.

  • Patent number: 4672383
Abstract: A craft guidance system 200 has signal transmission stations AB, CD, AC operable to provide three intersecting hyperbolic lattices 21, 20, 120. One transmission station pair AB provides a moving lattice 21 which travels at the same speed and in the direction of the craft 22 using the system. The other station pairs CD, AC provide fixed lattices 20, 120. Equipment (FIG. 5) carried by the craft 22 operates whereby, when translated by reference to the phase difference between the transmissions of each pair AB, CD, AC, the lattices 21, 20, 120 provide hyperbolic lines of position continuously in time at infinitely variable positions. The moving lattice 21 is caused to travel at the intended speed and in the direction of the craft 22. The fixed lattice 20 provides craft track guidance; and both fixed lattices together provide craft position fixes. The fixed lattice 20 and the moving lattice 21 together provide craft moving position guidance; the moving lattice 21 provides craft speed guidance.
