  • Patent number: 11977672
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described herein for generating and/or processing virtual content in a distributed system (e.g., a distributed extended reality system). For example, a first device (e.g., a client device) of a distributed extended reality system may transmit one or more sets of pose prediction parameters (e.g., prediction coefficients, prediction time associated with raw pose data, and/or the raw pose data) to a second device (e.g., a server device) of the distributed extended reality system. The second device may predict one or more poses of the second device based on the set(s) of pose prediction parameters, and may generate virtual content based on a pose of the predicted pose(s) of the first device. The second may transmit and the first device may receive the virtual content. The first device may then display one or more virtual objects based at least in part on the received virtual content.

  • Patent number: 11816924
Abstract: A method and device for behavior recognition based on line-of-sight estimation are provided. The method is as follows. An image is collected. It is detected whether the image includes a face. When the image includes a face, it is determined whether the face in the image is a face with closed eyes. When the face in the image is not with closed eyes, a line-of-sight direction angle of a target to which the face belongs, and a distance between the face and an image collecting unit, are computed. It is determined whether the target has a set behavior based on the line-of-sight direction angle and the distance.

  • Patent number: 11797176
Abstract: A computing device may segment an input area of an user input device (e.g., the surface of a trackpad) into multiple subsets. At a given time, the computing device may use one of the multiple subsets for mapping to a display device (e.g., instead of mapping the entire input area to the display device). To illustrate, based on receiving user input in one of the multiple subsets, the computing device may map that subset to the display device so that the subset is represented at the display device (e.g., without representing the other subsets at the display device). By segmenting the input area, an aspect ratio of a segment may be matched to an aspect area of the display device. Accordingly, distortions associated with an aspect ratio mismatch between the input area and the display device may be reduced or avoided.

When the image includes a face, it is determined whether the face in the image is a face with closed eyes. When the face in the image is not with closed eyes, a distance between the face and an image collecting unit is computed. A maximum field of vision of a target to which the face belongs is determined according to the distance and a parameter of the image collecting unit. It is determined, according to the maximum field of vision, whether the target has a set behavior.

Abstract: In various examples, systems and methods are disclosed herein for a vehicle command operation system that may use technology across multiple modalities to cause vehicular operations to be performed in response to determining a focal point based on a gaze of an occupant. The system may utilize sensors to receive first data indicative of an eye gaze of an occupant of the vehicle. The system may utilize sensors to receive second data indicative of other data from the occupant. The system may then calculate a gaze vector based on the data indicative of the eye gaze of the occupant. The system may determine a focal point based on the gaze vector. In response to determining the focal point, the system causes an operation to be performed in the vehicle based on the second data.

  • Patent number: RE49878
Abstract: A transparent display system is provided where broadcast talent (or presenter) can see interactive content, tool palettes, prompts (and the like) as well as their own sketches and annotations, but a viewing audience sees only the broadcast talent and content intended for the viewing audience with the talent's annotation thereof. A transparent scattering screen together with optical filtering or gating of a first optical property of the light (e.g., polarization-based or wavelength-based) is used such that the first property of the light is projected onto the screen so the talent can see the projection, and a camera-side filter blocks the first property of the light so it is not seen by the camera. Simultaneously, a broadcast talent (or presenter) is illuminated by light having properties other than the first property, which allows the talent image to pass through the screen and the camera-side filter allowing the talent to be seen by camera.
