Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method of transforming, by a processing system comprising a processor, text comprising a series of characters into a graphic representation, wherein the graphic representation comprises a series of dots arranged in a two-dimensional pattern, wherein the two-dimensional pattern comprises two dots per character, and wherein each dot in the series of dots is one unit away from a preceding dot; and plotting, by the processing system, the series of dots on a two-dimensional graph, thereby creating a unique encoded image of the text. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract: In a motion capture system having a depth camera, access to an electronic media device such as personal computer or a game console with Internet connectivity is controlled. The age group of a person in a field of view of the camera can be determined based on metrics of a 3-D body model. The metrics can relate to, e.g., a relative size of a head of the body, a ratio of arm length to body height, a ratio of body height to head height, and/or a ratio of head width to shoulder width. The metrics are particularly indicative of age group. Based on the age group, a profile of the user is automatically updated with various parental control settings which control access to the electronic media device. Also, currently output content can be replaced by substitute content when a person in a lower age group enters the field of view.

Abstract: An LCD display design system and method are disclosed. The method includes performing operations by a variety of operation modules after initial parameters are input and an operation type is selected, so as to generate operation results and transfer the operation results to an integration module; integrating the operation results by an integration module to generate a correspondence relation such as an operation window, a compare-table or an equation, and further transferring the operation results and the correspondence relation to an output module such that the output module can display performance variations of a variety of designs corresponding to the different initial parameters. Therefore, the present invention provides a user with a convenient way to obtain optimal design parameters for designing a display pixel circuit.
Abstract: A method and device for preventing the jumping phenomenon of the OSD display region on a monitor screen. The anti-jumping device comprises it included a comparison circuit, a signal generator and a multiplexer. The comparison circuit is used for calculating a difference time between the front edges of pulses of the synchronizing signals Vs and Hs, and the front edge of a corresponding pulse, comparing the difference time with a fixed time and producing a selection signal according the comparison result. The selection signal represent the timing relation between Hs and Vs. The signal generator is used for generating two clear reference signals that can be applied in various timing situations. The multiplexer receives the two clear reference signal and employs the selection signal to select one of the two clear reference signal as a clear signal that is applied to a counter used for counting the scanning location in the OSD processing circuit.
