Menu Display Patents (Class 345/902)
  • Patent number: 10139981
Abstract: A display control system for a multi-layer display system including at least one multi-layer display unit. A multi-layer display unit includes multiple stacked or overlapped display layers each adapted to render display elements thereon for viewing through the uppermost display layer. The level of difficulty for a user to view an overlapped image differs depending on the color, brightness or type of images (for example text-on-text) being displayed and also the layer in which the image is being displayed and whether the image is currently active. At least any overlapping portion of display elements from different display layers are adjusted (automatically or by a user) in order to improve the viewing experience for a viewer. Types of adjustment possible include moving the images within their display layer or to an alternative display layer or altering their visual properties (such as color, brightness, contrast, etc.).

  • Patent number: 10114799
Abstract: Methods (800), apparatuses (100), and computer readable storage mediums of arranging a digital image in one of several image receiving placeholders of an electronic photo album document are provided. The document is displayed (802) on a first virtual plane of a display on a display device. Digital images are displayed (804) on display; the digital images are arranged on a second virtual plane separate from first virtual plane. At least one of the digital images and document are partly transparent enabling the digital images and document to be contemporaneously visible. The second virtual plane extends beyond the boundary of display and can be panned on display device independently of document. A digital image is selected (806) from the displayed digital images; upon selection, the non-selected digital images are at least partly hidden so that the visibility of document on display device is increased. The selected digital image is arranged (808) in an image receiving placeholder.

  • Patent number: 10045709
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating a cardiac rhythm disorder diagnosis with the aid of a digital computer are provided. Cutaneous action potentials of a patient are recorded as electrocardiogram (ECG) data over a set time period. A set of R-wave peaks is identified within the ECG data and an R-R interval plot is constructed. A difference between recording times of successive pairs of the R-wave peaks in the set is determined. A heart rate associated with each difference is also determined. The pairs of the R-wave peaks and associated heart rate are plotted as the R-R interval plot. A diagnosis of cardiac disorder is facilitated based on patterns of the plotted pairs of the R-wave peaks and the associated heart rates in the R-R interval plot.

  • Patent number: 10026061
Abstract: Visualization tools, and systems and software underlying such tools, for allowing user to visualize organizations of people. Members of an organization are represented by unabstracted nodes. In some embodiments, visualization diagrams are efficiently created by abstracting the unabstracted nodes in a manner that reduces the number of nodes needing to be rendered, while retaining the visual character of a similar diagram composed of the original, unabstracted nodes. In these embodiments, regions of abstraction diagrams can be selectively de-abstracted in response to a user's selection within the abstraction diagram. In response to such a selection, in some instances only a particular hierarchical reporting chain within the organization, or a portion thereof, is de-abstracted to allow the user to view unabstracted nodes within that chain. Also disclosed are other visualization tools, such as attribute-overlay tools, time-scrubbing tools, and geographic distribution tools, among others.

Abstract: The tactile input device is a user interface selection device used to transmit user information to a user interface interpretation module. The tactile input device allows a user to activate and operate applications installed on a computing system through a single user interface selection device. The tactile input device includes a tactile surface angularly divided into a plurality of sections, or petals. The tactile surface is further separated by a central portion and an outer circumferential portion, neither of which are angularly divided by the petals. Each petal and portion are tactilely distinguished from an adjacent petal or portion. The tactile distinction provides a user with feedback relating to orientation over the surface such that the user may request the performance of a specific task to be implemented by the computer through the user interface interpretation module.

Abstract: A coordinate inputting/detecting apparatus in which a designating device for designating a position in a flat or substantially flat two-dimensional coordinate inputting/detecting area of the coordinate inputting/detecting apparatus is judged as located in a predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area when an optical detection signal of an optical unit, that optically detects the designating device inserted into the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area, exceeds a first predetermined threshold value. Whether or not the designating device has been inserted into the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area is judged and coordinates of the position in the coordinate inputting/detecting area, designated by the designating device inserted in the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area, are recognized in accordance with the optical detection signal of the optical unit.
