  • Patent number: 10919749
Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for filling printing ink in an electrowetting display substrate and a method for producing the electrowetting display panel. The electrowetting display substrate comprises a first substrate. The first substrate has pixel grids formed by pixel walls. The method for filling printing ink in an electrowetting display substrate comprises steps of: filling a mixture of an oil-containing printing ink and a solvent into the pixel grids, wherein the solvent has a boiling temperature lower than that of the oil, and the printing ink is soluble in the solvent; and vaporizing the solvent at a temperature that is lower than the boiling temperature of the oil and higher than or equal to the boiling temperature of the solvent. The method may adjust the filling height of the printing ink effectively, and allow the filling heights of the printing ink in all pixel grids to be substantially the same, so as to enhance the display effect of the electrowetting display panel.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a photosensitive resin composition and a cured film prepared therefrom. The photosensitive resin composition introduces a siloxane polymer containing a fluorine atom which has strong water-repellency into a composition including a common siloxane polymer and an epoxy compound, and fluorine groups may be present in the whole region of the cured film so that the water-repellency due to a fluorine component may be maintained even after removing the surface of the cured film is removed via a dry etching process. As a result, the resistance (chemical resistance) to chemicals used in a post-processing can be maximizes to provide a cured film having excellent stability.

Abstract: One embodiment comprises a system that stores a pre-defined color conversion table and a hash table. The system receives user-defined color conversions for a print job, stores them in first locations in the hash table, and marks the first locations as persistent. The system processes the print job utilizing the color conversion table to convert colors in the print job to the output color space, and responsive to encountering colors in the print job that do not have color conversions in the color conversion table, interpolates between color conversions in the color conversion table to generate new color conversions, stores the new color conversions in second locations in the hash table, and marks the second locations as non-persistent. The system determines that the hash table is to be re-initialized, allows reuse of the second locations in the hash table, and prevents reuse of the first locations in the hash table.

  • Patent number: 8926089
Abstract: A printing apparatus has a transport module with a moving transport belt that transports strip-like print media past a printhead for printing thereon. The transport module has an entrance region upstream of the printhead, a magazine for the strip-like media located upstream of the entrance region of the transport module, the transport belt also serves as a take-off device to remove the strip-like media from the magazine, the magazine is mounted laterally offset with respect to the transport belt, thereby causing the strip-like media to be captured by the transport belt only in an edge region of the transport belt. The transport belt is wider by the edge region than is precisely needed to transport the strip-like media, in order to print on a remaining region of the strip-like media, which is smaller by the edge region than a total width of said strip-like media.

Abstract: A printing method and a printing system are provided in which a fast printing speed is achieved, a variety of ultraviolet curable inks can be used, and excellent transfer properties to a printing object can be achieved. First, print processing is performed, thereby printing an image on a transfer pad, next, provisional curing processing is performed, thereby provisionally curing an ultraviolet curable ink applied to the transfer pad, next, transfer processing is performed, thereby transferring the ultraviolet curable ink landed on the transfer pad to a printing object, and next, final curing processing is performed, thereby performing final curing of the ultraviolet curable ink transferred to the printing object. In this way, transfer printing of an image to the printing object can be performed by a single transfer. In addition, if the transfer printing is finished, cleaning processing is performed, thereby cleaning the transfer pad.

Abstract: The present invention provides a recording medium for an ink jet ink, which is capable of printing directly with an ink jet ink without a surface treatment step necessary for use of an ordinal plastic film as a substrate and which causes no problem of peeling or the like after printing, and also provides a printed material produced by ink jet printing on the recording medium and a production method therefor. Specifically, printing is performed with various ink jet inks on a layer (A) of a single-layer or multi-layer film (I) used as a recording medium, the layer (A) containing a cyclic polyolefin resin or an acid-modified polyolefin resin.
