Abstract: A recording system includes an ejecting unit, a punch unit, and a control unit. The ejecting unit ejects ink onto a sheet transported by a transport unit to form an image. The punch unit forms a plurality of through holes in the sheet. The control unit controls an ejection amount per unit area of ink in the ejecting unit based on image data. Furthermore, the control unit divides a region into a first region not including the through hole, and a second region including the through hole, and controls an ejection amount of the ink in the ejecting unit such that a second ejection amount per unit area when an image is formed in the second region is less than a first ejection amount per unit area when an image is formed in the first region.

  • Patent number: 11413872
Abstract: Provided is an inkjet recording apparatus that reduces excessive or insufficient flushing of each of the nozzles by appropriately controlling the ink ejection amount in the next flushing for each nozzle based on the actual ink ejection state of each of the nozzles of a recording head during image formation. A control unit causes the recording head to execute flushing for ejecting the ink at a timing different from a timing that contributes to image formation on the recording medium. A conveyor belt has opening portions for allowing ink ejected from each of the nozzles of the recording head during flushing to pass. The control unit controls the ink ejection amount for each of the nozzles during the next flushing based on an integrated printing rate for each of the nozzles after the recording head has performed the previous flushing.

Abstract: A number of printable images on a continuous sheet and printing throughput can be increased when printing an image in which images of different sizes coexist and are arranged. In a printing apparatus which prints a plurality of images by using a full-line inkjet printhead while conveying the sheet, the size of an image and a position of a sheet where the image is printed are analyzed from inputted image data. A necessary type of preliminary discharge is determined in accordance with the analysis result. Then, print data is generated by adding, to the image data, data for preliminary discharge complying with the determined type of preliminary discharge. It is controlled to print by the full-line printhead based on the generated print data.
