Abstract: Within a system for operating a virtual reality game or environment, a method is provided for identification of problematic or not well calibrated cameras that are incapable of optimum identification and tracking of game objects. The impact of these identified cameras on the game is reduced on the fly. Most of the time, a few cameras will see an object. The images are mixed to identify the object and its location according to vectors established between cameras and trackable objects. When such mixing of images happens, identification of non-optimum non-calibrated cameras is enabled and performed. The impact of such cameras is then reduced in the overall impact in the game play, providing higher emphasis to images from well calibrated cameras. As such, game stoppage and re-calibration of these few cameras is not required for continuous game play.

Abstract: An aspect includes gathering audio feeds captured from sources at a function. Each of the audio feeds is annotated with metadata identifying a time of capture and geo-coordinates of a location of the source. An aspect also includes mapping the audio feeds to a video feed captured by a first device at the function. The video feed is annotated with metadata identifying a time of capture and geo-coordinates of locations corresponding to images in the video feed. An aspect further includes identifying geo-coordinates of a location corresponding to an image in a focal point of view of a second device, searching the database for audio feeds in which the geo-coordinates of the sources are within a defined range of the geo-coordinates of the location corresponding to the image in the focal point of view, and transmitting, to the second device, a listing of user-selectable audio feeds resulting from the searching.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus, information processing method, and program are disclosed. In the information processing apparatus, circuitry is configured to transmit an input command to at least one of a plurality of imaging devices that are associated with the information processing apparatus, the command being executable as a synchronous operation or an asynchronous operation based on information relating to at least one of the imaging devices. The information may, for example, be the number of the imaging devices to which the input command is transmitted. In that example, when the number of the imaging devices is below a threshold amount, the input command is transmitted as the synchronous operation, and when the number of the imaging devices is above the threshold amount, the input command is transmitted as the asynchronous operation.

  • Patent number: 9743010
Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing LED lighting to the shutters of fast digital cameras. The system enables capture of multiple lighting schemes to be filmed in a single video take on sequential frames. Since 24 frames per second is the industry standard used broadly in film and television, a 96 FPS camera can capture up to 4 lighting tracks of 24 FPS each in a single take. Each lighting fixture can be changed frame by frame to any desired intensity. The changing of lighting can be synchronized with the times when the shutter is closed so that all frames are complete and are without the visual artifact of the light changing mid frame. This is extremely useful for simple visual effects such as a simulated camera flash, lighting pattern or gun flash. The lighting can be programmed so that by turning on lights at the appropriate intensity while the camera shutters are closed all viewers on set perceive a constant, flicker-free light. The entire system is compatible with existing industry standards.
