  • Publication number: 20130141611
Abstract: A memory unit stores as conversion information which is derived based on a correction coefficient which provides, in a predetermined allowable range from a minimum value, a sum of a norm of a difference between a color difference of a correction target color and a target color which is a target of correction of the correction target color and a correction color obtained by correcting the correction target color using the correction coefficient, and a norm of the correction coefficient to which a predetermined weight coefficient is applied. A color correcting unit converts a color of each pixel of an image captured by an image capturing unit based on the conversion information.

  • Patent number: 8446505
Abstract: An imaging apparatus is described for obtaining images. The imaging apparatus includes a pixel array, a row decoder, a column decoder, and a trigger circuit. The pixel array integrates electrical signals corresponding to incident light from a scene. The row decoder enables a selected row of pixels within the pixel array. The column decoder enables readout of a pixel in a selected column of the selected row within the pixel array. The trigger circuit generates one or more burst pulses to traverse through a corresponding number of decoder stages that correspond to pixels which are identified for discarding. Each burst pulse has a duration that is less than a stipulated minimum pulse duration of a typical decoder pulse of the decoders. By using shorter burst pulses, the trigger circuit can quickly jump to a desired row and/or column of pixels for readout, while conserving power.

Icons are then presented on available screen areas of the mobile device so as to avoid overlapping desired image portions.

  • Patent number: 8355505
Abstract: The camera includes a sensor for sensing the photographer's iris image and registering the image in advance. The iris image is recorded in the image of a subject by a digital MCU at a timing different from that at which the image of the subject is captured. The recording timing is that at which the camera power supply is turned off, that at which a recording medium is ejected from the camera or that at which the iris image to be recorded is changed to changed to the registered iris image of another photographer. The recording of the iris image is achieved by embedding it as a watermark or by appending it to metadata.

Abstract: When picked up images picked up by an image pickup apparatus are accessed, the contents of the picked up images are grasped readily. A dynamic picture storage section 200 stores image data produced by an image pickup section 110. A metadata storage section 210 stores transformation information regarding a first picked up image and a second picked up image. An image memory 180 retains images as history images. An image transformation section 150 transforms the second picked up image based on the transformation information. An image synthesis section 170 synthesizes the transformed second picked up image with the history images to form a synthesized image. An operation acceptance section 160 accepts a designation operation which designates a display magnification of the second picked up image.

Abstract: Systems and methods of generating depth data using edge detection are disclosed. In a particular embodiment, first image data is received corresponding to a scene recorded by an image capture device at a first focus position at a first distance. Second image data is received corresponding to a second focus position at a second distance that is greater than the first distance. Edge detection generates first edge data corresponding to at least a first portion of the first image data and generates second edge data corresponding to at least a second portion of the second image data. The edge detection detects presence or absence of an edge at each location of the first portion and the second portion to identify each detected edge as a hard or soft edge. Depth data is generated based on the edge data generated for the first and second focus positions.
