  • Publication number: 20030103145
Abstract: A method for image data print control includes: obtaining subject image data which is obtained by capturing an image of a subject formed through a photographic optical system and output by an image-capturing element having a plurality of pixels; obtaining a distance to the subject; obtaining a number of pixels provided at the image-capturing element; obtaining a pixel pitch at the image-capturing element; obtaining a focal length of the photographic optical system; and calculating a printing resolution so as to print the image of the subject in a size equal to a size of the subject by using the subject image data, based upon the distance to the subject, the number of pixels at the image-capturing element, the pixel pitch at the image-capturing element and the focal length of the photographic optical system.

Abstract: A portable information terminal device includes a monitor (11) on which information is displayed, a main body (10) on which the monitor (11) is mounted and by which the entire outline is defined, a CCD (24) disposed inside the main body (10) for photographing an object, and an optical unit (30) including a plurality of lenses (32,34) arranged in a direction of an optical axis and a driving mechanism (37) for performing variable-power driving while relatively moving the plurality of lenses so that a magnification of the object can be varied with respect to the CCD (24). Therefore, the object can be photographed in a wide range from a telephotographic side to a wide-angle side, and its image information can be transmitted and received through a communications system.

  • Patent number: 6564012
Abstract: A camera has a main module and a lens movement control. The lens movement control has opposed front and rear grip surfaces that are disposed adjacent respective front and rear faces of the main module. The grip surfaces are pivotable relative to the main module from a neutral position to opposed first and second pivoted positions. A lens system is joined to the main module. The lens system has a driver and a movable lens element connected to the driver. The driver extends and retracts the movable lens element, relative to the main module, during the pivoting of the lens movement control to the first and second pivoted positions, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20030030735
Abstract: When an object image at a preset position is zoomed in at a target magnification by a zoom lens, the focus point position N of the object image at the zoom position Z1 of the target magnification is calculated. In addition, the mutual relation value (interior division ratio x:y) between the tracking curve I, II and the focus point position is calculated and the position or the focus lens is controlled so that the mutual relation value is kept with respect to the tracking curve when zoom-in is carried out. Accordingly, an object image in focus can be picked up at all times even during zooming.

  • Patent number: 6512542
Abstract: When a constant rate switch is pressed during the operation of a seesaw switch, an output voltage of a potentiometer in the seesaw switch is stored in a condenser and a command from the seesaw switch is invalidated. The output voltage of the potentiometer when the constant switch is operated is input to an operational amplifier, and a zoom drive motor is run at a constant rate to maintain the zoom rate which has been controlled by the seesaw switch. There may be provided a function which reduces the rate in proximity to the telephoto end or the wide end, and the constant switch may also serve as another switch means such as a return switch.

  • Publication number: 20030011692
Abstract: A system for sensing and displaying lens data for a cinematography zoom lens and camera in real time. A plurality of sensors are connected to the lens for producing signals continually representing the present positions of focus, zoom and T-stop setting rings of the lens. A range finder is positioned adjacent the lens for producing a signal representing the distance from the lens to an object located in front of the lens. A printed circuit board with a microprocessor receives and processes the signals and has a memory with data representing the focus, zoom and T-stop characteristics of that lens. A display device is positioned adjacent the lens and selectively displays indicia representing the positions of the focus, zoom and T-stop settings, the distance to the object and the depth of field.

  • Patent number: 6501505
Abstract: When an initialization switch of the TV lens is turned on, an iris is opened and a zoom lens group is moved to a telephoto end automatically. An AF function moves a focus lens group to focus the TV lens according to a focus evaluation value obtained from a video signal. Then, the zoom lens group is moved to a wide end, and the AF function moves a master lens group to focus the TV lens according to the focus evaluation value. The focusing with the focus lens group while the zoom lens group is placed at the telephoto end and the focusing with the master lens group while the zoom lens group is placed at the wide end are repeated alternately several times. Thus, the flange back length of the TV lens can be adjusted automatically.
