Abstract: A device, system and method for automatic calibration of image devices is provided. Triplets of at least three image devices, including a projector, are in non-collinear arrangements, and pairs of the image devices have overlapping fields of view on a physical object. Pixel correspondences between the pairs are used to determine relative vectors between the image devices. Relative locations between each of the image devices are determined based on the relative vectors with a relative distance between one pair of the image devices is to an arbitrary distance, the relative locations being further relative to a cloud-of-points representing the object. A model of the object and the cloud-of-points are aligned to transform the relative locations of each of the image devices to locations relative to the model. The projector is controlled to project onto the object based at least on the locations relative to the model.

Abstract: In graphics processing data is received representing one or more vertices for a scene in a virtual space. Primitive assembly is performed on the vertices to compute projections of the vertices from virtual space onto a viewport of the scene in a screen space of a display device containing a plurality of pixels, the plurality of pixels being subdivided into a plurality of subsections. Scan conversion determines which pixels of the plurality of pixels are part of each primitive that has been converted to screen space coordinates. Coarse rasterization for each primitive determines which subsection or subsections the primitive overlaps. Metadata associated with the subsection a primitive overlaps determines a pixel resolution for the subsection. The metadata is used in processing pixels for the subsection to generate final pixel values for the viewport of the scene that is displayed on the display device in such a way that parts of the scene in two different subsections have different pixel resolution.

The screen display is separable into top and bottom halves, the top half affixed to the telescoping support and the bottom half separable from the top half and laterally movable to and from a storage position and to and from a position at which it may be releasably connected to the top half of the screen display. The screen display may have ends pivotable from extended to retracted configurations with respect to a center section.

Abstract: Removes undesirable camera rotation from a panoramic video. Video frames are mapped to a sphere and then projected to a forward-looking planar video. Camera tracking or other techniques are used to derive camera position and orientation in each frame. From the camera orientation, a correcting rotation is derived and is applied to the sphere onto which the panoramic video was mapped. Re-projecting video from the rotation-corrected sphere reduces or eliminates camera rotation artifacts from the panoramic video. Rotation may be re-introduced and other visual effects may be added to the stabilized video. May be utilized in 2D virtual reality and augmented reality displays. Depth may be accepted by the system for objects in the video and utilized to create 3D stereoscopic virtual reality and augmented reality displays.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for a display device comprising a plurality of display panels arranged adjacent to one another along the respective peripheral edges thereof, and wherein respective first and second viewing planes form an obtuse angle T relative to each other. The display device further includes a cover sheet located in proximity to, and covering the first and second viewing planes, and includes a light compensation portion located proximate to the peripheral edges of the first and second flat panel displays, and has a curvature complementary to the obtuse angle between the respective first and second viewing planes. The light compensation portion bends light produced by respective peripheral areas of the first and second flat panel displays proximate to the respective peripheral edges thereof to reduce visual discontinuities introduced by the peripheral edges into an image displayed on the first and second flat panel displays.
