    Abstract: A method for filling closed regions in a drawing using a region filling tool that may appear as a paint bucket. Rather than independently selecting regions to fill or filling based on style-by-layer techniques, the user selects a seed region such that other regions of the drawing are filled if parameters of the other regions match the parameters of the seed region. Matching criteria parameters may include an exact match parameter, a shape matching parameter, a layer matching parameter, and a line weight matching parameter. The parameters may be used alone or in conjunction with other parameters. In this manner, multiple regions in the drawing that are similar to the seed region may be filled using one interaction with the region filling tool. This approach allows the user to more efficiently and intuitively fill regions in the drawing.

    Abstract: A general moving image includes a plurality of objects in a frame image. At the time of playback, the temporal visual characteristic is taken into consideration uniformly in the overall frame image. It is therefore impossible to perform playback while particularly considering an object of interest. In this invention, when playing back a moving image including a plurality of time-divided frame images, the object adaptation time of each object image is acquired first in the frame image of interest of the plurality of frame images. An adaptation weight is calculated based on the acquired object adaptation time, and a low-pass image reflecting the adaptation weight is generated for each object image. Color adaptation conversion using the low-pass image makes it possible to perform, for the frame image of interest, color conversion based on the adaptation time of each object image and perform color conversion particularly considering an object of interest.

The correction is a function of the assigned probability that the pixel is within a red-eye and a color of the pixel.

If the defined saturation value is equal to or greater than the threshold saturation value, the MPA assigns the second RGB values to the pixels determining the color of the UI.

    Abstract: A signal processing unit in a liquid crystal display device, etc., includes a brightness component appearance frequency measuring unit that measures an appearance frequency of each brightness component in a video signal; a parameter outputting unit that outputs a distribution of each brightness component, as a parameter, based on the appearance frequency of each brightness component measured by the brightness component appearance frequency measuring unit; a changing signal outputting unit that alters an input signal recorded in a recording unit, by using the parameter, and that outputs the input signal as a changing signal; and a brightness component changing unit that changes a distribution of each brightness component, by using the changing signal, and that outputs the video signal in which the distribution of each brightness component is changed.
