For Color Television Patents (Class 348/635)
  • Patent number: 8981641
Abstract: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical film formed on a plastic substrate. There is provided a method of manufacturing an optical film including the steps of laminating a separation layer and an optical filter on a first substrate, separating the optical filter from the first substrate, attaching the optical filter to a second substrate. Since the optical film manufactured according to the invention has flexibility, it can be provided on a portion or a display device having a curved surface. Further, the optical film is not processed at high temperatures, and hence, an optical film having high yield with high reliability can be formed. Furthermore, an optical film having an excellent impact resistance property can be formed.

  • Patent number: 8150325
Abstract: An exemplary signal interference control system is disclosed that utilizes a computer system, such as programmable logic circuits or computer controlled logic gates, to generate blanking or control signals for various types of radio frequency receiver and transmitter combinations. Control signals are generated based on signal characteristic information stored in a memory including a delay following receipt of a pre-trigger signal from a radio frequency transmitter and a pulse width of control signal(s) generated for specified receivers, frequencies or systems. In one embodiment, information can be retrieved from a memory and used to generate an interference control signal. One or more control signals can be routed to a related or associated receiver to reduce or eliminate interference effects.

  • Patent number: 8059211
Abstract: A system and/or method that reduces the blanking time between changing from one video channel to another video channel, particularly from a digital video channel. The system provides as much video of the old video channel as possible for display until video from the new channel is acquired. Particularly, video output signal from the old channel which is stored in a video packet buffer is provided until the video packet buffer is underflowed (underflow condition or event). This is accomplished while the system is acquiring the new video channel (i.e. the selector in the case of an analog or different frequency digital video channel, or a PID filter of an MPEG transport stream decoder thereof in the case of a digital video subchannel of the old digital video channel). Blanking of the video output may or may not be accomplished if the new video is acquired before an video packet buffer underflow condition or event, else blanking may occur for only a short period of time. This can save about 400-500 ms.

  • Patent number: 7978268
Abstract: A method for digitally filtering a video signal comprises: converting the video signal into a plurality of sampled values; determining whether distribution of at least one portion of the sampled values belongs to one of a plurality of specific types according to the sampled values; and generating a plurality of output values according to a correction operation corresponding to the one of the specific types.

  • Patent number: 7075590
Abstract: A method and apparatus within a television receiver for electronically aligning signals within the receiver by controlling support circuitry for an IF module. A control voltage source controls both video alignment and picture IF (PIF) mute functions. The DAC is coupled to a video level control circuit within the video amplifier circuitry of the television receiver. The control signal controls both the video level as well as a PIF mute circuit.

  • Patent number: 5287172
Abstract: An automatic on-screen color signal converting circuit is disclosed, which includes a color signal level detecting part (30), an inverting part (40), and combining/switching part (70), wherein the color signal level detecting part (30) detects the level of the video color signal from the input color difference signal and luminance signal and the inverting part (40) inverts the output signal of the color signal level detecting part (30) to combine them with an on-screen signal blanking signal outputted from an OSD generating part (60). Therefore, the cathode ray tube driving circuit (20) is provided with an OSD color signal which is complementary to that of the video signal and the on-screen signal can be always clearly distinguished from the video signal during their simultaneous display and also automatically converted according to changing of the video signals.
