    Abstract: A non-contact 3D measuring system is configured to provide a combined three-dimensional shape of an object to be imaged based on a frame image, which has been captured by a camera while a measuring head is being scanned in an optical axis (Z-axis) direction, and the information on the position at which the image has been acquired. The system includes: a position detector for detecting a scanning position of the measuring head while a plurality of raw images are captured; and a computer for generating an interpolation image by linear interpolation for the captured raw image using the information of the scanning position as well as generating a combined frame image using the interpolation image.

    Abstract: An image display apparatus and a liquid-crystal display device using such an optical filter for diffusing pixels while suppressing the occurrence of moire. A diffuser (optical filter) 13 comprising a combination of a diffraction grating 26 and a birefringence plate 27 is disposed on an LCD 11 in an opposing relation to the viewer side. The diffraction grating 26 diffuses each pixel of the LCD 11 into three points in the vertical direction by a shift amount of POy/3 (POy: same color pixel pitch in the vertical direction). Further, the birefringence plate 27 diffuses each diffused pixel into two points in the horizontal direction by a shift amount of Pox/2 (Pox: same color pixel pitch in the horizontal direction). Thus, the diffuser 13 diffuses each pixel of the LCD 11 into six pixels to thereby optically erase a matrix-like pixel pattern.

    Abstract: A light valve such as an active matrix LCD between crossed polarizers, utilizing, for instance, individual transistors to control each "pixel area" of the LCD and storage elements to store video signal data for each pixel, with optically shielded "dead spaces" between pixels to eliminate electric field crosstalk and non-information-bearing light bleed through, is illuminated with a bright independent light source which creates a video image projected via specialized projection optics onto an internal or external screen without distortions, regardless of the angle of projection onto the screen. Use of heat sinks, IR reflective coatings, heat absorbing optics, optional fluid and a thermistor controlled pixel transistor bias voltage injection servo circuit stabilizes image performance, maintaining accurate color and contrast levels as the LCD changes temperature.
