Abstract: A rotating display apparatus is provided. The rotating display apparatus includes a pixel array and a control device. The pixel array is capable of rotating around a rotation axis in the pixel array, the pixel array includes a plurality of pixel units, and the plurality of pixel units are arranged in a plurality of pixel columns distributed in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis. Pixel units in each pixel column are arranged in a direction parallel to the rotation axis and operate at a same refresh frequency. A refresh frequency of pixel units in a pixel column close to the rotation axis is less than a refresh frequency of pixel units in a pixel column far away from the rotation axis. The control device is configured to control the pixel units in each pixel column to operate at a refresh frequency corresponding to the pixel column.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are novel techniques that address blurriness in medical images resulting from motion of a rigid body, such as a patient, relative to the medical scanning equipment by using a motion-correction algorithm for 3D medical images using to two-dimensional projections.
Abstract: A special effects apparatus for generating an illusion of a moving beam of light in midair. The apparatus includes a light source, such as a laser light source outputting colored light, generating a beam of light that is aimed along a linear light travel path. The apparatus further includes a dynamic light receiving assembly, and this assembly includes: an elongated support rod; a light receiving element attached to a first end of the support rod; and a driver coupled to a second end of the support rod opposite the first end of the support rod. The driver rotates the support rod about the second end at a high rotation rate, and the light receiving element moves along an arcuate travel path that intersects the linear light travel path of the beam of light. The arcuate travel path of the light receiving element and the linear light travel path are coplanar.

Abstract: An autostereoscopic pixel emitting unit and multi-view autostereoscopic display device comprised of the pixel emitting units; an optical package covers the sub-pixel unit and each sub-pixel unit contains at least a red, green and blue light-emitting unit; each optical package contains at least an optical guide area and a mixing light area; the image display surface formed by matrix configuration can lead the multi-view stereoscopic images to left and right eyes of different viewers, and form stereoscopic vision through perception of human brains. The autostereoscopic display unit is minimized so that the display device has multiple advantages such as free from panel optical lens size restriction, large-area display, plane or curved surface installation, without frame joint, simultaneous display or functional conversion of 2D/3D images, easy maintenance, safety, and environmental protection.
Abstract: An apparatus for generating volumetric images viewable without 3D eyewear. The apparatus includes an image display assembly displaying a first image at a first display time and a second image at a second display time (e.g., a number of planar or 2D images on a display screen/surface). The apparatus includes a flexible two-way mirror element (a varifocal beamsplitter). During operations, the first and second images from the display assembly are directed toward and then reflected from the back side of the mirror element. The apparatus also includes a hoop-shaped frame supporting a peripheral edge of the mirror element. A driver shakes the frame to resonate the mirror element between convex and concave shapes while it is used for reflecting the first and second images. The apparatus also includes a concave mirror positioned relative to the mirror element to receive the reflected first and second images.
