The Image Being Sequentially Picked-up By One Device At Different Imaging Positions, E.g., By Shifting The Image-sensor (epo) Patents (Class 348/E3.031)
Abstract: An exemplary imaging device includes an optical sensor having an optical axis, a lens positioned to focus light from a scene onto the optical sensor, a matrix of variable-phase optical elements that are dimensioned to introduce at least two different phase delays into a wavefront of a light signal received from the scene through the lens, a housing that secures the matrix of variable-phase optical elements between the optical sensor and the lens, and a processing subsystem programmed to determine a phase difference associated with the light signal based on the at least two different phase delays. Related systems and methods are also provided.

Abstract: In a hyperspectral imaging system and method, a pixilated imaging sensor array receives light reflected from, transmitted through, or scattered by a target scene. Images of the target scene are acquired at a number of times and these images are processed to generate hyperspectral data for each pixel of the imaging sensor array based on data for the pixel included in each of the acquired images. This processing can include spatially aligning two or more of the images that were spatially shifted with respect to each other when acquired based on at least one common image feature in the images.
Abstract: A process for using a terminal capable of capturing images to determine a probability of capturing the images according to information taken from contextual data provided by the image capture means. The process uses a terminal such as a mobile terminal comprising a first image data sensor and at least one contextual data sensor to automatically determine at least one probability of capturing an image or a sequence of images taking place within a time interval, the capture probability being calculated based on at least one response provided by one of the activated image data and/or contextual data sensors.
