Picture Signal Generating By Scanning Motion Picture Films Or Slide Opaques, E.g., For Telecine (epo) Patents (Class 348/E5.049)
  • Patent number: 11948482
Abstract: The display method includes the steps of receiving input of first information representing an amount of an dilation process or a erosion process on a first mask image including a mask region, generating a second mask image by performing the dilation process or the erosion process corresponding to the first information based on an edge of the mask region on the first mask image, and displaying a projecting image obtained by superimposing the second mask image on an input image.

  • Patent number: 11924575
Abstract: The applicant proposes a method and an apparatus to realize a faster, easier and more precise multispectral digitalization of films. The proposed method and apparatus ensure quality control of the multispectral film digitization using sensors and can correct the digital images for film shrinkage and deformation. This can allow for efficient digitization of films which can enable an effective automatization of the mass safeguarding of archived films. The proposed film digitizer apparatus can comprise a novel and improved light source module, which comprise a light assembly that can allow for better illumination of the film and shorter required exposure time that can lead to lower acquisition time for each of the various wavelength image acquisitions for each film image. Monitoring of the spectral distribution and/or the temperature of the light sources can ensure quality control of the digitalization.

  • Patent number: 11652939
Abstract: A position sensing apparatus and a method of detecting a position. The position sensing apparatus includes a scanner configured to emit light to an object to scan an image of the object, and a position detector. In the position sensing apparatus, the scanner outputs a first result of scanning obtained by irradiating the object with visible light and a second result of scanning obtained by irradiating the object with invisible light to the position detector, and the position detector corrects the second result of scanning based on the first result of scanning, and to detect an invisible alignment image based on the corrected second result of scanning. The method includes emitting light to an object using a scanner, obtaining a first result of scanning as the scanner irradiates the object with visible light, and obtaining a second result of scanning as the scanner irradiates the object with invisible light.

  • Patent number: 11453225
Abstract: A device for locating a moving glass support is described. A conveyor roller surface is arranged to generate movement of the glass support. The device illuminates the glass support and acquires a plurality of lines of the moving glass support. A primary image is generated as a function of the acquired plurality of lines. A plurality of representative points of the glass support are detected from the primary image. Location coordinates of the glass support are calculated as a function of the plurality of representative points. A system for printing on the glass support inclusive of the locating device is further described.

  • Patent number: 9807315
Abstract: An image capture and processing system accesses an image including image data. The image processing system receives a selection of a preset configuration. The preset configuration identifies first and second image effects, a first intensity value corresponding to the first image effect, and a second intensity value corresponding to the second image effect. The image processing system accesses a set of stored lookup tables (LUTs). Each accessed LUT in the set of stored LUTs is associated with the first and second image effects, and is associated with intensity values within a threshold proximity of the first and second intensity values. The image processing system generates a combined LUT by interpolating the accessed set of stored LUTs. The image processing system processes the image based on the combined LUT.
