Ghost Signal Cancellation (epo) Patents (Class 348/E5.084)
  • Patent number: 10790920
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for processing a digital bit stream representative of a communication signal are provided. The method can include dividing, at one or more processors, the digital bit stream into a plurality of data packets, each having an overlap of data from an adjacent packet. The method can include performing a timing recovery operation and a carrier recovery operation on portions of the plurality of data packets in multiple processing blocks in the processor, in parallel. The method can include combining the first plurality and the second plurality based on timing and phase stitching.

  • Patent number: 10572985
Abstract: An image processing circuit executes filter processing using a filter with respect to image data. The image processing circuit includes a supply unit and a plurality of multipliers. The supply unit is configured to supply M (M: a natural number) pieces of data of filter taps from data of interest in the image data and a data group in a vicinity of the data of interest. Each of the plurality of multipliers is configured to hold a coefficient having a predetermined bit count and multiply one of the M tap data with the corresponding coefficient according filter coefficients constituting the filter. Each of the plurality of multipliers is allocated to the one of the M tap data based on an allocation rule related to the plurality of predetermined bit counts and the filter coefficients constituting the filter.

  • Patent number: 10381021
Abstract: A low power sound recognition sensor is configured to receive an analog signal that may contain a signature sound. Sparse sound parameter information is extracted from the analog signal and compared to a sound parameter reference stored locally with the sound recognition sensor to detect when the signature sound is received in the analog signal. A portion of the sparse sound parameter information is differential zero crossing (ZC) counts. Differential ZC rate may be determined by measuring a number of times the analog signal crosses a threshold value during each of a sequence of time frames to form a sequence of ZC counts and taking a difference between selected pairs of ZC counts to form a sequence of differential ZC counts.

  • Patent number: 10363765
Abstract: The present application relates to an adaptive filter using resource sharing and a method of operating the adaptive filter. The filter comprises at least one computational block, a monitoring block and an offset calculation block. The computational block is configured for adjusting a filter coefficient, ci(n), in an iterative procedure according to an adaptive convergence algorithm. The monitoring block is configured for monitoring the development of the determined filter coefficient, ci(n), during the performing of the iterative procedure. The offset calculation block is configured for determining an offset, Offi, based on a monitored change of the filter coefficient, ci(n), each first time period, T1, and for outputting the determined offset, Offi, to the computational block if the determined filter coefficient, ci(n), has not reached the steady state. The computational block is configured to accept the determined offset, Offi, and to inject the determined offset, Offi, into the iterative procedure.

  • Patent number: 9577864
Abstract: In a software receiver, a received electromagnetic signal is sampled in “slices”, each having a duration of some multiple of a reference frequency. The samples of each slice are correlated with values in a pair of reference signals, such as sine and cosine, at the reference frequency. This yields a two-tuple for each slice, which two-tuples may be stored. The stored two-tuples can be simply added to arrive at a correlation value of narrower bandwidth than that of any slice taken alone. The stored two-tuples can be taken in sequence, each rotated by some predetermined angle relative to its predecessor in sequence, and the rotated two-tuples summed to arrive at a correlation value with respect to a frequency that is offset from the reference frequency to an extent that relates to the predetermined angle. In this way, the receiver is able to proceed despite the transmitted frequency not being known exactly in advance and does not require prodigious storage or computational resources.

  • Patent number: 9553743
Abstract: A communication device (alternatively, device) includes a processor configured to support communications with other communication device(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. In some examples, the device includes a communication interface and a processor, among other possible circuitries, components, elements, etc. to support communications with other communication device(s) and to generate and process signals for such communications. For example, the device's processor receives one or more signals from a communication channel. The processor then processes the one or more signals to generate 2D DFE soft slicer outputs and to decode the one or more signals based on the 2D DFE soft slicer outputs to generate estimates of information encoded within the one or more signals. The processor may process the 2D DFE soft slicer outputs to generate 2D DFE hard decisions and then generates other estimates of the information encoded based on the 2D DFE hard decisions.

  • Patent number: 9507374
Abstract: In an embodiment, a session associated with a first hardware device that sends or receives a first data stream and a second hardware device that sends or receives a second data stream may be provided. The session may be used to access information related to the first hardware device and the second hardware device. The accessed information may be used to identify a strategy from among a plurality of strategies for synchronizing either the first data stream and the second data stream or the first hardware device and the second hardware device. The identified strategy may be applied to synchronize either the first data stream and the second data stream or the first hardware device and the second hardware device.
