Abstract: A video decoder chipset comprises a video decoder function, an upscaler function and a combiner function. The video decoder function is configured to (i) decode encoded video data to generate decoded video data at a first level of quality, the encoded video data having been derived by an encoder using first video data at a second, higher level of quality and (ii) output the decoded video data for storage in a memory. The upscaler function is configured to (i) obtain the decoded video data from the memory and (ii) upscale the obtained decoded video data to generate second video data at the second level of quality. Abstract: Provided is an ultrasound system and an image display method of displaying an ultrasound image on an auxiliary display. The ultrasound system generates a three-dimensional (3D) image in a first orientation with respect to ultrasound volume data acquired from an object and displays the 3D image in the first orientation on a display. The ultrasound system also acquires position information and orientation information of an auxiliary display and determines a second orientation based on the acquired position information and orientation information. The ultrasound system then generates a 3D image in the determined second orientation and controls the 3D image in the second orientation to be displayed on the auxiliary display.

The present invention can provide viewers increased access to content of interest across various platforms, such as online articles, online audio and video clips, and television and radio broadcasts. In an embodiment, an individual viewing content online, such as a news article, is given a link. The link provides the viewer access to a list of content related to the article being viewed. The related content is not limited to the platform related content across, and allows the user to view the content, automatically set the content to be recorded by a digital video recorder, or reserve the content for future viewing. By providing the user with convenient access to content across platforms, they are more given media content of interest. Accordingly, viewership of this content will increase through this connection of individuals with content that aligns with their interests.

The video processing may include timing playback of an image frame of the video so as to maintain a continuous playback of the video regardless of network delays and other adverse factors. An ith image frame of the video may be fetched for processing from a buffer queue. A sampling interval of the ith image frame may be calculated. Further, a waiting time and a regulated waiting time of the ith image frame may be calculated. A playing interval of the ith image frame may be determined based on the regulated waiting time. If the time elapsed since start of playback of an (i?1)th image frame of the video is not shorter than the playing interval of the ith image frame, the ith image frame may be played at the current time point.

Abstract: A method for encoding pictures within a groups of pictures using prediction, where a first reference picture from a group of pictures and a second reference pictures from the subsequent group of pictures are used in predicting pictures in the group of pictures associated with the first reference picture. A plurality of anchor pictures in the group of pictures associated with the first reference picture may be predicted using both the first and second reference pictures to ensure a smooth transition between different groups of pictures within a video frame.
