  • Patent number: 10694091
Abstract: The various embodiments herein relate to imaging devices and systems that capture an image of a target object and separately capture light from the light source illuminating the target object to compensate for inconsistent lighting of that object. Some systems have scene cameras to capture the images of the target objects and a separate light capturing camera to capture the light from the light source. Other embodiments relate to a single camera capturing an image of the target object while simultaneously capturing light from the light source.

  • Patent number: 10142519
Abstract: An image forming apparatus, including: a first reading section which emits visible light to a sheet having an image formed thereon, receives light from the sheet and outputs a read signal having an intensity corresponding to an amount of the received light; a second reading section which emits light including at least ultraviolet light to a ground region of the sheet, receives light from the sheet and outputs a read signal having an intensity corresponding to an amount of the received light; and a correction section which corrects the read signal output from the first reading section by using the read signal output from the second reading section so that a color reproduced by the read signal output from the first reading section is consistent with a color observed by a user.

  • Patent number: 10015459
Abstract: An image capturing device with automatic white balance and an automatic white balance correction method are provided. The image capturing device includes a lens assembly, a light diffuser, an image sensor and a processor. The relative position of the light diffuser and the lens assembly is fixed. The processor is electrically connected to the image sensor having a first sensing region and a second sensing region. The light diffuser converts a fraction of the incident light to the reference light. The first sensing region converts the incident light to the display image information. The second sensing region converts the reference light to the correction information. The processor determines a reference gain average according to at least one color gain of the correction information and obtains at least one color gain correction value according to the reference gain average to adjust the white balance setting of the display image information.
