With Nonrewinding Film Strip (e.g., Endless Film Type) Patents (Class 352/126)
  • Patent number: 6715223
Abstract: A promotional viewer includes a generally rectangular housing which can be engaged to an enclosure containing a recorded entertainment piece, or may be formed as an integral part thereof. The front surface of the viewer is provided with viewing apertures aligned over a portion of a continuous film loop mounted on turning rollers within the housing and illuminated by ambient light collected by a mirror in a lateral opening in the housing. To shield the other ambient illumination paths each of the viewing apertures may be provided with erectable shields.

  • Patent number: 4168888
Abstract: A film cassette for containing and displaying an endless loop of film has a housing constructed of two symmetrical elements, an end of the housing being deeper to accommodate a larger portion of the film. Apertures are formed in opposing sides of the housing and extend the full width of each side or approximately twice the width of a frame of film. A dual film gate assembly is contained within the housing and has two back plates to support the film and two snap on front plates which define a film gate on either side through which a leader of film is threaded. Both the back plates and the front plates have openings which approximate the size of a frame of film to allow light to pass from one aperture to the other in a straight line path. A film advancing means consists generally of a shaft having two sprockets mounted thereon, each sprocket extending through an index slot in a film guide plate and having teeth or other structure to positively engage the film and advance it through the film slot.

  • Patent number: 4155514
Abstract: A continuous loop tape cartridge including a housing in which an endless tape is wound as a coil on a main hub disposed within the housing. During operation the tape is withdrawn from the center of the coil and wound onto the outside of the coil. A rewind hub is coaxially mounted with respect to the main hub and includes an accessible portion adapted to be driven to rewind the tape from the outer convolution of the coil onto the rewind hub.

  • Patent number: 4134526
Abstract: A joint for the ends of an elongated perforated film strip which is movable alongside an annularly closed guide path by a conveying means, wherein on the one end of the film strip corresponding in length substantially to that of said guide path a follower is secured which projects from the plane of the film, and wherein at the other end of said film strip a lock-in aperture is formed for free motion engagement of said follower. By reason of this free motion engagement, the film strip joint renders possible, within certain limits, to equalize length tolerances of the film strip, plus at the same time the automatic uncoupling of the film strip ends.

  • Patent number: 4042297
Abstract: Film strip projection device for the projection of endless film strip, especially slide film strips, which is passed along a film trap of a projection optics system, by a transport device which catches in the film perforation. The film strip is guided in a closed, essentially ring-form track, whose length is only a little shorter or equal to the length of the film strip.
