  • Patent number: 7158207
Abstract: A motion picture film projector including a lamp house section having a lamp bulb and a reflector; a head section located in front of the lamp house section; and an optical member located proximate a junction between the lamp house section and the head section. The optical member has infrared filtering coatings on both a front side and a rear side of the optical member. The reflector has a rear aperture with a portion of the lamp bulb extending therethrough. The rear aperture is larger than a center outer diameter of the lamp bulb. The lamp bulb and the reflector are sized and shaped such that an operator looking rearward from a front side of the lamp bulb and reflector can see a general ring shaped gap between the reflector and the lamp bulb when the lamp bulb is aligned relative to the reflector.

  • Patent number: 6736512
Abstract: A pixel element for a 3D display, wherein multiple substantially collimated controllable light beams are emitted in multiple directions, with each light beam associated with a predetermined viewing direction. A set of substantially point type sources are individually addressable and are arranged in a line. The light sources are serially addressed; and the light from each source is imaged in a collimated light beam and deflected in a predetermined individual deflection direction.

  • Patent number: 4620266
Abstract: A fiber-optic light system is disclosed for providing highly concentrated, cool light to projectors and reproducer sound heads, such as the type found in the projection room of a movie theater. The light beams onto a film to project the film's images onto a screen and release its soundtrack. In the preferred embodiment, a system is disclosed for providing fiber-optic light to a plurality of projector-and-reproducer sound sets from a single light source. A plurality of fiber-optic cables are connected to a standard xenon lamphouse, wherein each of the cables has a bifurcated "free" end with two trunks. One trunk removably connects to the projector by a coupling block that easily fits onto a mount attached to the projector's casing, while the other trunk connects to the reproducer sound head by a similar block and mount.

  • Patent number: 4227782
Abstract: A photographic projection apparatus for use with a film unit which has a plurality of images formed in a plurality of arcuate rows thereon supports the film unit between a light source and an optics system, both of which move along an arcuate path corresponding in shape to that of the arcuate rows of images on the film unit. The film unit is intermittently moved in a direction normal to the scan of the image rows so as to provide a sequential scan of the images in successive rows whereupon the images are projected onto a screen.
