The front contains a round opening with an attached extension containing a peripherial elastic enclosure that surrounds the lens of the camera making the interface essentially water tight. Openings in the top of the invention provides penetrations through which carrying straps may be contained and the bottom and remaining side are provided with an opening through which a camera may be installed.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 1978Date of Patent: December 4, 1979Inventor: Peter R. Patent number: 4160999Abstract: A panel of a size to be inserted into a section of the hung framework of a suspended ceiling carries a housing, the lower portion of the housing projecting beneath the panel and comprising a tinted, partially transparent cylindrical sidewall closed at its lower end by a hinged, opaque cover. A rotatable bracket is mounted within the housing, and carries an opaque cylinder positioned within the partially transparent cylindrical sidewall, the cylinder having a window therein. A television monitoring camera is also mounted on the bracket, with its lens pointing through the window. A motor for operating the monitoring camera is mounted atop the housing, and the partially transparent cylindrical sidewall and the opaque cylinder cooperate to effectively shield the monitoring camera from view as it is panned over the premises.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1978Date of Patent: July 10, 1979Inventor: Joseph H. Claggett

Patent number: 4105307Abstract: A programmable viewing system for processing and viewing cassette contained photographic film strips including a chassis defined by a centrally disposed vertical plate-like casting on which all internal viewer components cooperable mechanically and/or optically with the cassette are mounted together with a cassette well by which the cassette may be registered with such viewer components. A programming cam disc is rotatably carried by the casting for controlling both electrical switches for controlling an electronics logic system as well as shiftable viewer component positioning members, one on each side of the casting. The programming cam disc further controls cassette ejection.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 1977Date of Patent: August 8, 1978Assignee: Polaroid CorporationInventors: William A. Holmes, Donald T. Scholz

Patent number: 4097132Abstract: A motion picture projector is provided with a manually shiftable mode controller assembly for selecting various operational modes and apparatus for the automatic threading and rewinding of film. The operative mechanical components of the projector are mounted on a unitarily molded housing including molded structures and portions that independently and cooperatively with other control assemblies and interfitting structures provide features and improved operational characteristics. The molded housing interfits with a take-up reel cover, a control assembly cover and a rear cover that rotatably engages a carrying handle. Structure to define a film path, an automatic threading assist structure, a film speed detent structure and a position defining structure for the mode controller assembly are also provided by and integrally molded with the housing.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1977Date of Patent: June 27, 1978Assignee: Bell & Howell CompanyInventors: Raymond W. Patent number: 4082436Abstract: A motion picture camera has a plurality of openings where a film cartridge may be selectively mounted, the film passing through the selected opening into engagement with the film drive apparatus of the camera and back to the cartridge. The various openings provide for better balance with various support arrangements for the camera, such as on the shoulder or on a tripod.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1976Date of Patent: April 4, 1978Inventor: Robert E. Patent number: 4080629Abstract: A surveillance television camera on pan and tilt mountings is concealed in a housing which has dummy lenses arranged to suggest that the camera has all-round vision. The housing also has at least one shiny window through which the camera can view. Behind the window the camera and its surroundings are matt black so that the orientation of the camera cannot be seen from outside the housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1976Date of Patent: March 21, 1978Assignee: Photo-Scan LimitedInventors: George Glover Hammond, Peter Thomas Alleyne Goddard

Patent number: 4025930Abstract: A submersible camera having a waterproof housing has a plurality of magnetically operated switches for controlling normal shutter operation, self-locking operation and zoom functions. The camera is electrically operated with the electrical operating mechanism interconnected with the magnetically controlled switches. The switches do not penetrate the housing and provide simple and reliable control of the camera.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1976Date of Patent: May 24, 1977Inventor: Clifford Wolff

Patent number: 4013352Abstract: A compact self-blimped motion picture camera is achieved by mounting all drive train components on a mounting frame which together with a truncated conical lens support floats within the camera body. The lens support includes a forward annular lens mount and a generally cylindrical section the rear end of which is affixed to the mounting frame. The lens support is truncated in a 45.degree. plane that intersects the cylinder periphery just rearward of the lens mount and intersects the lens support rear end plane in a line that crosses the cylindrical axis. A rotating shutter and mirror assembly includes a sector-shaped mirror that rotates in a plane immediately behind the lens support truncation plane. Noise is minimized by using only belt and pulley drive components and only sleeve bearings.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1975Date of Patent: March 22, 1977Inventor: Jacob G. Monroy

Patent number: 3985430Abstract: A spherical shell mounted on a base for pivoting movement about a diameter has a first aperture in which a frosted groundglass screen is mounted parallel to the pivot axis. Images are sequentially projected on the screen from the vertically upright beam of a cassette-type sound projector by a deflecting mirror. Cassettes are inserted in and withdrawn from the projector through a second aperture subjacent the first aperture. The perforated cover normally closing the second aperture carries the loudspeaker of the sound system. Cooling air is blown on the projector lamp from bottom openings of the shell by a fan arranged between the shell and a bracket on which the projector rests.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1975Date of Patent: October 12, 1976Assignee: Steiner-Film Inh.
