    Abstract: A projection method using a real object projector is disclosed. The real object projector comprises a base, a control circuit installed in the base, and an image receiving apparatus installed on the base. The base is combined with a light source module, and between the light source module and the base is a different movable connection relationships according to different designs. The light source module can have a transparent film clip with an identifying mark, and different transparent film clips have different marks. When projecting with the real object projector the steps are, firstly moving the image receiving apparatus to a suitable position according to the mark on the transparent film clip, then focusing the image receiving apparatus according to the transparent film clip, and finally pressing an image receiving key to automatically identify the kind of transparent film clip and magnify the projection image with the control circuit.

    Abstract: An electronic circuit for operating a High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp, in particular a Ultra High Pressure (UHP) lamp, such as those preferably used in image projectors. The circuit comprises a lamp ballast for offering a controlled lamp current for operating the HID lamp and a brightness sensor for generating and providing a sensor signal which represents the brightness of the light applied by the lamp to the image generator. The lamp ballast controls the lamp current such that the brightness of the light of the lamp remains constant. Brightness control is made possible throughout the entire operational life of the lamp, and the use of sensors of simple construction is made possible by an incorporation within the electric circuit of a filter that high-pass filters the sensor signal before it is supplied as a control signal to the lamp ballast.

    Abstract: A projector has a liquid crystal display panel for displaying an image, a lamp for illuminating the liquid crystal display panel, and a projection optical system for projecting light modulated by the image displayed. The projector acquires data related to the lamp currently fitted and controls the light emission of the lamp on the basis of that data. The data includes the life of the lamp, so that the projector prevents the lamp to be lit longer than its remaining life. The remaining life is updated in accordance with how long the lamp has been lit. In addition to the lamp that is lit, an auxiliary lamp may be fitted so that the lamp that is lit can be switched to the auxiliary lamp as required. The lamp is formed into a single lamp unit together with a reflector or a casing to prevent the user from touching the lamp.
