The image processing apparatus holds a type of image data and a setting item of image processing corresponding to the type in association with each other, and obtains, by applying a learned learning model to image data which are input, a result of classifying the image data into the type. The image processing apparatus presents, based on the setting item input by a user and the held setting item that corresponds to the type of the obtained image, a recommended setting item corresponding to the image data to the user.

Abstract: A method of improving visual recognition of an item amongst a plurality of items displayed by an electronic device having a display includes providing a number of sets of actual dimensions of a number of the plurality of items, respectively, the number of the plurality of items including the item. A scaling factor is determined using the number of sets of actual dimensions and a number of sets of image dimensions of a respective number of representations of the number of the plurality of items respectively contained in a number of images. The scaling factor is applied to a dimension of an image to be displayed containing a representation of the item, and the scaled image is displayed.

Abstract: There are many administrative processes which require a user to enter handwritten data on ordinary paper forms. This data is then further processed and converted in the digitized form. In the existing methods, the turnaround time for whole process is high, lacks accuracy of the digitized data, and cost is also on the higher side. A system and method for real time digitization of hand written input data has been provided. The system comprises an input device that utilizes a pen and paper input form which is filled by a user in his hand writing. The completed form data is then transferred to a form inspector application that runs on the aggregation device. It allows for applications to be verified for completeness and send the same for real-time digitization using a form processor application. A recognition engine is then used for the digitization of the hand written input data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein to provide information to a user based on a symbol with a plurality of interpretations. Each candidate interpretation for the symbol is identified and compared to an attribute of a user profile. The meaning of the symbol is determined and the user profile is updated with the meaning of the symbol. This meaning may be used to provide relevant information to the user.

Abstract: An electronic album is created taking into consideration the intentions of the user regarding electronic album creation. Face images are extracted from among a number of images for an electronic album and the face images are displayed on a display screen. A face image of an important person is dragged and dropped onto an important image setting area, and the face image of a person not required to be included in the electronic album is dragged and dropped onto an excluded image setting area. An electronic album in line with user intentions is created so as to increase the proportion of images of an important person and exclude images of unwanted persons.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for generating a vector image from a raster image, where the raster image is, for instance, a photographed or scanned version of a hand-drawn sketch. While drawing a sketch, an artist may perform multiple strokes to draw a line, and the resultant raster image may have adjacent or partially overlapping salient and non-salient lines, where the salient lines are representative of the artist's intent, and the non-salient (or auxiliary) lines are formed due to the redundant strokes or otherwise as artefacts of the creation process. The raster image may also include other auxiliary features, such as blemishes, non-white background (e.g., reflecting the canvas on which the hand-sketch was made), and/or uneven lighting. In an example, the vector image is generated to include the salient lines, but not the non-salient lines or other auxiliary features. Thus, the generated vector image is a cleaner version of the raster image.

Embodiments include using the item of data to perform an action.

A calculation unit calculates a register error based on the number of pixels between a reference position located between the two first register marks and a comparison position that is based on the second register mark in the image captured by the image capturing unit.

Abstract: A method and system for generating interactive AR content. The method and system disclosed herein allow a user to digitally capture printed content and interact with that printed content in an AR session. AR session interaction provides access to dynamic, up-to-date, and contextually relevant information based on the characteristics of the printed content, as well as current date, time, and location information collected either from the user or from the devices used to implement the AR session.

Abstract: In an electronic device, a low power consumption mode is settable in which power supply to elements is restricted in a standby state. The device includes a touch panel display, a touch sensor, and a processor. The touch panel display includes a display for information display and a touch panel to receive user operation that are overlaid one on the other. The touch sensor detects a point of touch with a surface of the touch panel and a swipe operation of moving the point. In the mode, the touch panel display is in a display suspension state in which electric power supply to the display is restricted. When the user performs the swipe operation on the touch panel display in the display suspension state, the processor determines one of setting screens according to a movement direction of the swipe operation and causes the display to display the determined setting screen.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating composite documents from document containers using a set of rules to populate slots in the containers with variable content is presented. The present invention allows the user to produce many individual, customized documents from a single container or set of linked containers and a set of content items stored in a database. Each container includes a set of rules that establish one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-many, or circular mappings between slots and content items. In one or more embodiments, the present invention may be used to create customized composite photograph collages, such as custom school pictures, where each generated document is a photograph collage that features a photograph of an individual student in a central, enlarged, or more prominent position, with smaller photographs of the other students in the class or school in less prominent positions in the collage.

One or more processors of a client device can execute an application undergoing UI anomaly detection. The application can be injected with a detection engine. The detection engine can determine, while executing as a thread of the application on the one or more processors of the client device, that a dimension of a text-designated region of a first user interface element of the application is less than that of corresponding text for rendering on the user interface element. The detection engine can provide, to a server responsive to the determination, an indication of a first UI anomaly. The indication can include information about a position and size of the first user interface element.

Abstract: For a scheduled purchase, a point count setter sets an upper point usage limit in accordance with an operation. Based on point management information, a discount payment controller controls payment for the scheduled purchase so that the payment is executed at a discount based on the upper point usage limit set. A limited-time point count notifier determines the number of limited-time points scheduled to be used based on the point management information and the upper point usage limit, and before the scheduled purchase is executed, notifies a user of the number of limited-time points scheduled to be used. Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus for composing an imposed, intermingled output in pre-sorted postal order from an intermediate file are disclosed. A composition engine populates a template with variable printing data from a data file and generates an intermediate file. The composition engine repeats the process and generates a second intermediate file from a second data file and template. The intermediate files are merged and intermingled to generate a third intermediate file. The third intermediate file is converted to a renderable format and transmitted to a printing system to produce a ganged, imposed output.

Abstract: Systems, devices, media, instructions, and methods for computer based automated content generation, curation, and presentation are described. In one embodiment a content collection is generated with a first continuous presentation group by associating a first content element from a first content message of the plurality of content messages and a second content element from a second content message of the plurality of content messages to associate the first content element and the second content element as the first continuous presentation group. Advertising element placement within the presentation order for the first media collection is determined, and adjusted to avoid interrupting the continuous presentation group. In other embodiments, various advertising patterns are used and adjusted based on curated presentation groups within content collections.

Abstract: A mobile image forming apparatus includes a body, a recording device supported by the body and configured to form an image on a recording medium, a roller provided to the body and configured to rotate on the recording medium while the body is moved in a scanning direction for image formation. Abstract: Embodiments identify documents with invisible or hidden information such as tracking codes and extract the tracking codes, which may be leveraged for different applications. Aspects may protect an individual's right to privacy by extracting “invisible” codes from a document. Other aspects preserve the authenticity of documents by converting the information of an extracted tracking code into other metadata which may accompany the document and copies of the document. In an embodiment, a blockchain ledger may be used to verify the authenticity of a document using information from the original tracking code.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing graphic design using metadata relationships are described. According to certain aspects, an electronic device may display a visual design including a set of design elements, each of which may be contained within a corresponding container. The electronic device may receive a selection to spatially adjust a design element, and may determine a modification to the design element based an element behavior of the design element and/or a container behavior of the corresponding container. The electronic device may display, in the user interface, the design element reflecting the modification.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of driving a display panel and a driving device. The present invention determines sub-pixels shared by sub-pixel rendering technology through comparing differences of the color components, and the sub-pixels shared by the display image are not fixed. Since the sub-pixels with the smallest absolute value of the color component difference are selected for sharing, a contrast of an edge region of an image is improved, and distortion of an edge region of an image is reduced.

Abstract: A portable electronic device (PED) includes a processor, and a transceiver coupled to the processor. The transceiver is configured to receive an RF signal having a unique identifier associated therewith when the PED is in proximity to at least one themed photograph overlay image beacon at a designated area. The unique identifier corresponds to at least one of a themed photograph overlay on a remote server. The transceiver transmits the unique identifier to the remote server, and receives the least one themed photograph overlay from the remote server based on the transmitted unique identifier. A camera is coupled to the processor and takes a photograph at the designated area. A display is coupled to the processor and displays the photograph with the at least one themed photograph overlay.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for automatic user interface layout organization. In operation, a system receives an action representing at least one modification to a source user interface layout, or an unbalanced layout (a layout that violates the constraints). The system receives a list of constraints that define the validity of a given layout. The system creates a list of all possible valid user interface layout permutations including the at least one modification based on the constraints. The system determines a difference between the source user interface layout and each of the possible valid layout permutations. Further, the system selects one of the possible valid layout permutations that is least different from the source user interface layout to be used as a target user interface layout including the at least one modification.

Abstract: A collaborative content management system enables users to selectively create threads and comments linked to specific portions of an image. An image comment may be indicated by a tag displayed at the location based on the specific portion of the image and having an identifier of the thread. Tags for image comments may be clustered together. When an image having image comments is replaced by a replacement image, the tags from the image may be transferred from the image to the replacement image and displayed at the same relative positions in the replacement image as positioned in the original image.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for displaying representative images within a collection viewer is disclosed. Abstract: Provided is a three-dimensional position measuring system, a three-dimensional position measuring method, and a measuring module with which measurement can be performed without a special operation constraint even in state where a measuring module is inclined. The three-dimensional position measuring system includes a measuring module that includes a target, an omnidirectional camera, and a triaxial accelerometer, and is grasped a positional relationship among the target, the omnidirectional camera, and a measurement point, and a surveying instrument including a light output section that outputs light toward the target and a measurement section that performs distance measuring and angle measuring to the target. Since the measuring module including the target is equipped with the omnidirectional camera and the triaxial accelerometer, a posture direction of the measuring module can be identified.

Abstract: An online system provides video data to client devices for presentation to users. Various client devices include a gaze tracking system that identifies locations within the video data where users' gazes were directed at different times during presentation of the video data and provides the identified locations to the online system. Based on characteristics of the users and of the video data, the online system generates a model determining likelihoods of a user's gaze being directed to different locations within the video data at different times. When the online system selects the video data for presentation to a target user, the online system applies the model to the target user and the video data. Based on the resulting likelihoods, the online system modifies resolutions of different locations of the video data when providing the video data to a client device for presentation to the target user.
