Abstract: A shortcut to a file in a cloud desktop can be virtualized. A file shortcut virtualizer can be executed on a server and a client terminal that establishes remote sessions with the server. Server-side components of the file shortcut virtualizer can be configured to identify when a file shortcut has been created on a user's cloud desktop and to send information about each created shortcut to client-side components of the file shortcut virtualizer. The client-side components can then employ this information to create a virtual shortcut for each file shortcut on the user's cloud desktop. A virtual shortcut corresponding to a particular file can be configured to invoke a remote application launcher and can include information identifying a connection file that the remote application launcher should use to directly open the particular file using an associated remote application.

Abstract: An image processing device includes circuitry to: acquire an image matrix including a target pixel from first image data having a first resolution; determine whether one or more detection patterns match the image matrix; and perform edge enhancement on the target pixel and convert the first resolution into a second resolution to convert the target pixel into second image data, if the image matrix matches any of the one or more detection patterns. The first image data includes a plurality of pixels each including first and second pixel values respectively indicating image information and whether each of the plurality of pixels is an area where a specific object is drawn. The one or more detection patterns, each including a plurality of pixels each including the first and second pixel values, are patterns to detect a pixel forming an edge portion where the first and second pixel values vary between pixels.

  • Patent number: 10200570
Abstract: In an image processing apparatus a controller acquires target image data representing an image including first and second type of objects. The controller specifies, as a specific type color material, one of first and second type of color materials whose remaining amount is smaller than that of the other, and determines a first reduction index value indicating a first degree of reduction in an amount of the specific type color material for printing the first type of object. The controller creates processed data by performing a reduction process on the target image data to reduce an amount of the specific type of color material for printing the first type of object on the basis of the first reduction index value. An amount of the specific type color material for printing the second type object is not reduced on the basis of the first reduction index value.

  • Patent number: 10185718
Abstract: A machine can compress an entry of an index, starting with accessing first data that corresponds to a segment of content and is expressed in a first number of bits. The machine classifies the content into a first class or a second class and generates second data that is expressed in a fewer, second number of bits. To generate an upper portion of the second data, the machine selects and executes one of two algorithms based on the class of the content. The machine then assigns the generated second data to the segment. To decompress the second data and thereby recover the first data, the machine parses upper and lower portions of the second data, determines the class of the content, and recovers upper and lower portions of the first data. The upper portion is recovered via one of two algorithms based on the class of the content.

  • Patent number: 10140559
Abstract: Methods and systems for printing clear tagged objects on clear plane are described herein. In an example, the system draws a bounding box for each block of text/graphic objects. Within each bounding box, an occupancy percentage of foreground pixels (tagged as clear objects) is computed against background pixels. If the computed occupancy percentage falls below a defined threshold value, then that text/graphic object is considered for application of dilation. Thus, the device described herein doesn't check the size of the text/graphic objects; rather checks for the occupancy percentage of the text/graphic objects within a bounding box. While constructing the clear plane to support flood clear, the clear values corresponding to the dilated pixels (pixels considered for dilation) will be intelligently modified. In this way, only intended and logically desired text/graphic objects undergo for dilation.
