Position Or Velocity Determined Patents (Class 358/1.5)
  • Patent number: 6266151
Abstract: There is disclosed an image forming apparatus comprising input means for inputting print data from the exterior, ID setting means for setting an ID for each page of the print data inputted by the input means, print condition designation means for designating the print condition, corresponding to the ID set by the ID setting means, print reservation means for reserving a print operation by storing the ID and the print condition in a print reservation memory, control means for causing the reserved print operation to be executed according to the content of the print reservation memory, and reservation cancellation means adapted, upon receiving an instruction to cancel a print reservation, to erase the corresponding ID and print condition from the print reservation memory, if a sheet corresponding to the designated ID in the print reservation memory is in a stand-by state for sheet feeding.

  • Patent number: 6259535
Abstract: There are provided a print image-forming method and device. Print image data of a dot matrix is formed in which print portions are represented by positive dots and blank portions are represented by negative dots. Basic image data formed in a manner such that when the basic image data is developed into a dot matrix, a group of image pixels formed by one of a set of positive dots and a set of negative dots is capable of representing a basic image, is read from a memory device. Developed image data item representative of the basic image is formed by developing the basic image data read from the memory device into a dot matrix which is smaller in size than the dot matrix of the print image data in at least one predetermined direction of a vertical direction and a horizontal direction.

  • Patent number: 6252674
Abstract: Picture image output processing is performed that takes into consideration the time elapsed from when picture image output demands are made by a user to when the output results are acquired. A host device or information processing device includes a position information memory that stores information based on the respective positional relationships of the host device main body and multiple picture image output devices. A picture image output device selector determines which picture image output device the picture image information is transmitted to using the information based on these positional relationships. The picture image output device also includes position information memory that stores information based on the respective positional relationships of the picture image output device main body and multiple host devices. A picture image output priority determiner determines from which host device the picture image information is received using the information based on these positional relationships.

  • Patent number: 6236463
Abstract: A system and method are provided which have the ability to print whole documents at a time, rather than page by page. The data for an entire multi-page document is fed directly to an output device, and then a print engine. The data stream includes a record layout including data field codes which tell the data system and/or raster image processor where to print strings of variable information in a document so that the strings only need be provided once even if printed in multiple places within the document. Data flows in the data stream to the print engine as the raster image processor functions in real time. The system has the capability to manipulate and transfer data at 10 Mbytes per second, which translate into a transfer rate of approximately 92,000 characters per second at up to 1,000 feet per minute print speeds, for up to six controllers.
