Abstract: Printing methods and systems that provide both a secure value label printing mode of operation and a non-secure mode of operation that allows generic printing of non-value items without compromising the security feature of the secure printing mode are described. If the printing system determines the image is a non-secure image such as an address label or other non-value graphic, the printing system utilizes the non-secure mode and disables the use certain printhead elements. In such a system, the enforced print disabled white bands are enforced in non-secure mode such as by actually disabling the print drive mechanism that allows a row to be printed or by populating certain regions of the print buffer with zero values.

Abstract: A tape printing apparatus compares a back-side background region of print data to be previously printed and a front-side background region of print data to be subsequently printed upon receipt of plural print data including background. If they are different, the tape printing apparatus creates a front-side color mixture tolerance region and a back-side color mixture tolerance region based on the front-side background region and the back-side background region, respectively, so that the front-side color mixture tolerance region and the back-side color mixture tolerance region are arranged continuously. The apparatus sets cut positions at a front edge border and a back edge border of each print data and cut the tape off at those portions while carrying out full-color print on the tape based on respective print data.

Abstract: A copier is provided. The copier is configured to copy an image of an original document, which has a storage medium, and the storage medium, wherein a process of copying the original document, which has the storage medium, has three operation modes (A), (B), and (C) of (A) copying the storage medium and the image of the original document, (B) copying only the storage medium, and (C) copying only the image of the original document. Further, the copier has a selection unit that selects an operation mode to be performed among the operation modes.

Abstract: A method of defining a three-dimensional structure having multiple facets, such as a package, identifies an image that is to be printed on a first facet. It also identifies a second facet of the package that has a functional relationship with the first facet, determines whether the functional relationship is that of a crease, an edge, or another functional relationship, and automatically defines a bleed area by accessing a rule set and applying the rule set to the determined functional relationship. The bleed area includes an area in which the first image will be printed and that is outside of the location of the first facet.

Abstract: A card printing device may include a card conveying mechanism which conveys the card through a card conveying passage; a printing mechanism which transfers and prints ink applied to an ink ribbon on the card which is conveyed along the card conveying passage; and a print control section which controls printing on the card. The print control section may divide a printing image into a plurality of divided images in a conveyance direction of the card, rearrange an arrangement order of the divided images in the conveyance direction, control the card conveying mechanism to move the card forward or backward so that the divided images are printed on the card in a rearranged order and, so that the card is printed with the divided images in an original arrangement order before having been rearranged and then, perform printing on the card by the printing mechanism.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for performing printing on a plurality of media sheets in an imaging device. The method includes receiving a change-mode command while printing on a media sheet of the plurality of media sheets. Specifically, the printing is being performed by utilizing a first print mode. Also, the change-mode command comprises a request for changing the first print mode to a second print mode. The method further includes performing printing on subsequent media sheets of the plurality of media sheets by utilizing the second print mode. The imaging device for performing printing on the plurality of media sheets is also described.

Abstract: Provided is an image processing device including: an outline detection unit which analyzes image data to detect an outer edge pixel forming the outline of image, and to determine an edge direction of the outer edge pixel; a thinning unit which processes thinning by reducing a pixel value of the outer edge pixel; and an outline adjusting unit. The outline adjusting unit determines a correction value of front end fading to be adopted to the outer edge pixel, depending on sheet-feeding direction when the image data is printed and the edge direction of the outer edge pixel; reduces the correction value of front end fading, depending on the ratio of reduction by the thinning of the pixel value of the outer edge pixel; and corrects the front end fading by adding the reduced correction value to the pixel value of the outer edge pixel.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a communication interface unit to receives an XML paper specification (XPS) file, an XPS file processing unit which converts the XPS file into an output data corresponding to printing paper to print the XPS file using information regarding the height and width of a FixedPage in the XPS file, and a control unit which controls the image forming apparatus to print the output data. Accordingly, even when an XPS file does not include information regarding printing paper, a user can select and print printing paper suitable for the user's demand.

Abstract: An image capture unit and computer readable medium used in combination therewith is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the image capture unit includes an image capturing sensor, a visual display, an instance of the computer readable medium, and circuitry for integrating functionalities thereof. The computer readable medium causes sensor data received from the image capturing sensor to be processed. The sensor data includes a plurality of image tiles and position indicating data defining a respective relative position of each one of each image tiles. Each one of each image tiles includes data representing a discrete portion of visual content. The computer readable medium causes a feedback image be displayed on the visual display. Displaying the feedback image includes correlate the relative position of each one of each image tiles with at least one other image tile that has previously generated and displayed.

Abstract: A label printer prints a QR code on print areas (labels) sequentially arranged along a sheet of paper while maintaining the QR code in a state in which its data can be restored. The label printer determines, in the course of separating the printed label and suspending and resuming movement of the paper and while printing on each label of the paper, whether or not both of two finder patterns aligned along one side of the QR code in a following print area are at a position to be printed when a boundary portion between a leading label that has been printed and the following label reaches a cut position. The recording unit forms an image on a print medium having an adhesive face. The conveyance unit conveys the print medium. Each of the at least one rotor pair includes rotors to sandwich and press the print medium and the protection member therebetween. Abstract: The printing tracking labels as a part of a composite image of personalized images for photo products includes receiving a plurality of personalized images and a plurality of label images, each label image including order tracking information associated with one of the plurality of personalized images. A composite image including the plurality of personalized images and the plurality of label images is generated. The position of each personalized image within the composite image corresponds to a position of a separate photo product on a printer tray and the position of each label image within the composite image corresponds to a position of a separate label on the printer tray. Abstract: A method of managing a mixed injection preparation process includes obtaining a mixed injection preparation instruction (e.g., a prescription) and obtaining information about a drug to be potentially included in the mixed injection according to the preparation instruction. The information about the candidate drug is compared to the preparation instruction and a determination as to whether the mixed injection is prepared in accordance with the mixed injection preparation instruction is made based on the information obtained about the candidate drug. A printer is used to print a label indicating whether the mixed injection is prepared in accordance with the mixed injection preparation instruction, and then it is determined whether the label is removed from the printer.

Abstract: Techniques are described for automatic print image matching (PIM) parameter extraction. An original image is captured and PIM parameter data is extracted automatically based on specifics of the original image. At least one automated PIM parameter is calculated automatically from the PIM parameter data. At least one automated PIM parameter is inserted in PIM header information for communication to a rendering device to modify the original image when rendered.

The processor generates the second baseband signal based on the first baseband signal. The second processing module implements a printing process based the data signal.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for providing information on at least one container for storing a biological sample, including: a holder configured to hold at least one biological sample container and a receiver configured to receive information relating to at least one of the container or the biological sample as well as data relating to at least one instruction for printing the information. In one embodiment, the printer is configured to print the information directly on the container. Abstract: A color adjustment method includes a color adjustment step to obtain an adjusted CMYK value from an output CMYK value using a color adjustment table. The color adjustment table is to convert the output CMYK value into the adjusted CMYK value and created based on first and third tables. The third table is created based on: a CMYK value determined by C, M and Y values and a K value found from the C, M and Y values, the CMYK value having a proportion of the K value to the CMYK value larger than the proportion used when a second table is created; and a relationship between the CMYK value and the output color value for the CMYK value. This relationship is obtained based on a relationship between an input CMYK value and the output color value of the first table.

Abstract: A method for detecting errors in individual color separation images of a multi-color printing machine, in particular an electrophotographic printing machine, comprising a plurality of printing units, is described. Using this method, first a plurality of first register lines is printed with a first printing unit, and a plurality of second register lines is printed with a second printing unit in such a manner that each of the first register lines, together with one of said second register lines, is positioned inside a respective registration frame. Then the plurality of the first and second register lines in the respective registration frame are detected with a register sensor, and an output signal of the register sensor relating to the respective second register line is compared with an intensity threshold value in order to determine whether the second register lines can be recognized.
