  • Patent number: 10807534
Abstract: Crest-valley repeated shapes that are fitted to each other by a biasing force of a spring are disposed so as to be opposed to each other in opposed surfaces that are opposed to each other and rotate relative to each other between a view device base side and a view device rotating section side. Respective height maintaining protrusions are disposed so as to be opposed to each other in the opposed surfaces. Upon the view device rotating section being rotated from an extended position toward a forward-tilted position by an external force, respective top surfaces of the height maintaining protrusions are brought into abutment with and slide on each other in a position in which abutment between respective top surfaces of the crests of the crest-valley repeated shapes is cancelled, to maintain a height of the view device rotating section.

Abstract: This invention intends to prevent generation of abnormal sound. A motor shaft is inserted in a center hole of a worm and fitted in the center hole in a direction around an axis of the worm. A distal end of the worm is received in a bearing recess. A worm wheel engages with the worm. A radial gap and rotational play are formed between the motor shaft and the center hole of the worm. A radial gap is formed between the distal end of the worm and the bearing recess. The gap between the distal end of the worm and the bearing recess is formed so as to have a size that prevents an outer circumferential surface of the distal end of the worm and an inner circumferential surface of the bearing recess from coming into contact with each other when the worm is rotating.

Abstract: An exterior mirror has a mirror foot lower part mounted in a cavity in a vehicle door. A mirror foot upper part is mounted on the mirror foot lower part via a six-point mounting so that the mirror foot upper part protrudes from the door. A mirror head is mounted on the mirror foot upper part. The two mirror foot parts are held pressed together via a leaf spring and a separating plane between the two mirror foot parts of the exterior mirror is in the door cavity. In the event of a pendulum impact, the mirror foot upper part together with the mirror head is separated from the door-mounted mirror foot lower part and remains in the cavity of the door.

  • Patent number: 9033527
Abstract: In a vehicle door mirror device, by a first fixed-face of a fixed projection of a stay and a first rotating-face of a rotating projection of a drive body contacting, further rotation of a mirror is inhibited when the mirror is disposed in a housed position. A slope-angle of the first fixed-face to the housing direction is smaller than a slope-angle of the first rotating-face to a forward folded direction. Contact between the upper end of the first fixed-face and the first rotating-face can accordingly be restricted, and a distance from the lower end of the first fixed-face to the contact position with the first rotating-face can be made short. So, moment acting on the first fixed-face from the first rotating-face can be made small, enabling damage to the lower end position of the first fixed-face to be suppressed. A reduction in weight and cost can accordingly be achieved.

  • Patent number: 8955993
Abstract: In a door mirror device, a drain wall is disposed on a peripheral edge portion of an open hole in a cover. A first inclined surface is arranged to be separated from and below the drain wall. In a case where liquid entering into the mirror device flows into the open hole in the cover, the liquid travels along the drain wall and flows downward. Then, the liquid reaches a distal end of the drain wall and falls from the distal end of the drain wall onto the first inclined surface. The liquid that has fallen onto the first inclined surface travels along the first inclined surface and flows out to a communication hole. Due to this, the liquid is discharged to below a stand via the communication hole, pooling of the liquid between a cover and a motor base above a support shaft can be suppressed.
