  • Patent number: 8800173
Abstract: A shoelace protector can include a fastening member, enclosure and upper section. The fastening member can be inserted into to an eyelet of a shoe to properly support the shoelace protector. The shoelace can be strung into the fastening member and through the enclosure. The enclosure can surround the shoe lace on an exterior portion of the shoe. The shoelace can then be placed through the upper section. The upper section can provide a narrow slit such that the shoelace can be fit therethrough. Two or more shoelace protectors can be fitted into the eyelets of the shoe. The protectors can be positioned on the lower eyelets such that the bend created by the eyelet on the shoelace can be protected during use.

  • Patent number: 6681286
Abstract: A control chipset having dual-definition data pins capable of reducing circuit layout to memory module slots. Using dual-definition data pins of the control chipset and multiplexing/de-multiplexing devices, the control chipset is able to sense the particular type of memory modules plugged into memory slots automatically and hence assigning the function to each data pin accordingly. Consequently, circuit layout from the control chipset to the data pins of far off memory slots is simplified and overall circuit length is greatly reduced.

  • Patent number: 5526585
Abstract: An attachment device is described that is fittable on a variety of lace-closable shoes for use with a lace-substitute hand-actuable shoe-closure system. The device is used with conventional shoes that include dual flaps positioned on opposing sides of a tongue, with each flap having plural, spaced openings formed in it for receiving a shoe lace. The attachment device includes buckle-like structure or plates positionable adjacent at least one opening in each flap, and constructed for handling via gross-motor hand movement. Also included is peg-like structure such as a threaded bolt associated with each buckle plate, and having a preselected length which allows it to extend through at least the one opening in each such flap. Fastener structure such as a tee nut is usable with the bolt to effect releasable, hand-actuable attachment of the buckle plate to each flap.
