  • Patent number: 10177690
Abstract: A device and method of producing electrical energy by gravitomagnetic induction utilizing Nano-features fabricated on an object surface of an object is presented. The Nano-features may include Nano-bumps and Nano-pits. One device version includes a computer hard disk, a piezoelectric glide head and/or a GMR read head, a typical hard drive's electronics, wherein defects are fabricated on the disk using a Focused Ion Beam (FIB) by depositing requisite number of nanobumps of specified height, and etching equal number of nanopits of specified depth a few mils or mm apart on a pre-decided radius. By spinning the nano-features disk one produces an associated magnetic force utilizing a GMR read head for producing power by the presence or the absence of matter on an object that is in motion relative to the GMR read head.

Abstract: A slit is formed between two opposite side portions of a metal base made of an electrically conductive material. The slit penetrates the metal base thicknesswise and extends longitudinally relative to the metal base. An insulating layer is formed on the metal base. A first conductor is formed within the slit. The first conductor extends longitudinally relative to the metal base along the slit. A second conductor is formed on the insulating layer. The second conductor faces the first conductor across the insulating layer. The second conductor extends longitudinally relative to the metal base along the first conductor. The metal base and the first conductor consist of a common base material, such as a stainless-steel plate. The first conductor is formed by etching the base material.

Abstract: In the manufacture of a load beam for reading and writing a hard disk in a hard disk drive which load beam has a body having a slope extending from a front end thereof and bent along a bend line in a direction opposite to the hard disk, a tab protruding from the slope and to be guided on a guide of the hard disk drive, and a box-bent portion extending along each side edge of the body and slope and passing through an end of the bend line. A first stage is preparing a load beam material that is flat and has a deformation control zone on a section to be processed into the box-bent portion of the load beam material corresponding to the section to be processed into the bend line so as to prevent the box-bent portion from deforming and protruding when the box-bent portion is formed.

Abstract: A gimbal design for a hard disk drive are disclosed. In one embodiment, a gimbal tongue is supported by a gimbal cross bar coupled to a suspension body by a pair of gimbal struts. A pair of grounding pads are mounted on either side of the leading edge of the gimbal tongue. A first limiter tab is coupled to the leading edge of the gimbal tongue and a second limiter tab is coupled to the trailing edge of the gimbal tongue. Notches on either side of the trailing edge limiter tab increase the strength of the tab. One or more cutouts allow the slider to be electrically coupled to bonding pads on the opposite side of the gimbal tongue. Angled slots at the juncture of the gimbal cross bar and the gimbal tongue relieve stress on the gimbal.
