Plural Screws Patents (Class 360/291.3)
  • Patent number: 7916419
Abstract: A posture adjustment method of a magnetic head is provided. A magnetic head initial position adjustment apparatus measures an initial position of the magnetic head and writes the initial position into an adjustment position information shared apparatus. A magnetic head posture adjustment apparatus reads from the adjustment position information shared apparatus, and information of an adjustment amount given to the magnetic head when the magnetic head is moved and adjusted to a final position is written in the adjustment position information shared apparatus. An adjustment position as a current position of the magnetic head is calculated using the initial position information and the adjustment amount information.

  • Patent number: 7440235
Abstract: A tape drive apparatus is provided with a base plate and tape path components on this base plate. The apparatus includes a bracket that is adjustably coupled to the base plate, the path components carrying a magnetic head for reading and writing to a tape transported by the path components. Pre-loaded jackscrews of the adjustment couplings are rotated to adjust and lock the azimuth and zenith settings for the magnetic head. A separate penetration screw independently controls the penetration of the magnetic tape.

The apparatus includes a bracket that is adjustably coupled to the base plate, the bracket carrying a magnetic head for reading and writing to a tape transported by the tape path components. Adjustment couplings couple the bracket to the base plate and are lockably settable to adjust and lock the spatial orientation of the magnetic head with respect to a tape transported by the tape path components. Pre-loaded jackscrews of the adjustment couplings are rotated to adjust and lock the azimuth and zenith settings for the magnetic head. A separate penetration screw independently controls the penetration of the magnetic head into the path of the magnetic tape.

  • Patent number: 6885524
Abstract: An audio/control head assembly of a magnetic recording and reproducing device includes: a head base on which an audio/control head is mounted; a plurality of engaging parts formed at a main chassis, with which a plurality of adjustment bolts are engaged after passing the head base so that the head base can be engaged to be adjustable in its position; and a spring installed between the head base and the main chassis to elastically support the head base. Since the head base with the audio/control head mounted thereon is position-adjustably engaged at the main chassis directly, a unit for adjusting the position of the audio/control head is not necessary. Thus, the number of parts can be reduced, and accordingly, the fabrication cost can be reduced. In addition, since the number of the assembly parts is reduced, an assembly process can be reduced, an assembly workability can be improved, and an assembly time can be shortened.

  • Patent number: 6661608
Abstract: In a mounting structure for mounting a conductive shielding case, accommadating therein an audio magnetic head, to a chassis via of an adjusting plate, columnar protrusions formed on both side surfaces of the shielding case are engaged with groove portions formed on cut and raised pieces of the adjusting plate. With this arrangement, it is possible to fix the shielding case and the adjusting plate. Thus it is possible to fix the shielding case to the adjusting plate without using screws, and thereby be decrease the cost of parts and manufacture.

  • Patent number: 6585156
Abstract: A multichannel magnetic head includes a plurality of sets of magnetic core half bodies, each of the sets having two of the half bodies facing each other, and a plurality of magnetic gap portions, each of the gap portions located where two magnetic core half bodies face each other. The plurality of magnetic gap portions, when a magnetic medium is inserted therein, transferring record data between the magnetic medium and the magnetic head, and the gap distances of the magnetic gap portions being differentially preset to accommodate a physically warped magnetic medium. A magnetic card reader including a multichannel magnetic head has a plurality of magnetic gap portions, and the multichannel magnetic head is capable of recording data onto a magnetic medium in contact therewith. The multichannel magnetic head has gap distances that can be modified based on a possibility of spacings between the multichannel magnetic head and the magnetic medium so that a warped card can be accommodated.
