Abstract: A casing assembly for accommodating a stylus includes a casing and a button. The casing has an accommodation recess and an opening in communication with each other. The accommodation recess has a first end and a second end opposite to each other on a longitudinal axis thereof, and accommodates the stylus. The opening extends from the first end to the second end. The button includes an operation portion and a pushing portion connected to each other. The operation portion is pivotally disposed at the casing so as to be pivotable between an initial position and a released position. The pushing portion is located in the accommodation recess. When the operation portion is pivoted from the initial position to the released position, the pushing portion in the accommodation recess is moved toward the opening so as to push the stylus out of the accommodation recess.

Abstract: An external display may support bias lighting via lights located on the rear of the display. Embodiments provide a baffle connected to the rear of the display such that the baffle redirects light output from the rear-facing bias lights. Rather than redirect bias light output off a surface behind the display, embodiments provide a known surface for redirecting bias light output towards the front side of a display. A multi-segment baffle may be adjusted by articulating segments of the baffle and modifying the angles of redirection of the bias light output. Such adjustments modify the size of an opening between the baffle and the display and thus alter the characteristics of the bias light output. An inner surface of the baffle may be coated with a reflective material to improve efficiency. The baffle may be formed from a portion of a rear cover of the display.

Abstract: Introduced here is a modular electronic device case with accessories. The modular electronic device case contains at least two parts: a member surrounding four narrow sides of the electronic device, and a detachable member which can attach and detach from the member and/or the electronic device. The detachable member covers a fifth side of the electronic device, such as the backside of the electronic device. The detachable member can include a mechanical or an electronic accessory, such as a pocket, a surface attachment mechanism such as a suction cup, a camera, a battery, an audio port, etc. The accessories can communicate with the electronic device through wireless, or wired means.

Abstract: Flexible hinge and removable attachment techniques are described. In one or more implementations, a flexible hinge is configured to communicatively and physically couple an input device to a computing device and may implement functionality such as a support layer and minimum bend radius. The input device may also include functionality to promote a secure physical connection between the input device and the computing device. One example of this includes use of one or more protrusions that are configured to be removed from respective cavities of the computing device along a particular axis but mechanically bind along other axes. Other techniques include use of a laminate structure to form a connection portion of the input device.

The magnetic connector may also provide a pathway for the transmission of data and/or power between the ancillary display and the electronic device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a stylus having a retractable connector for use with a computing device. According to one embodiment, the stylus includes an outer housing and a connector configured to attach to a port on the computing device so as to maintain the stylus in a fixed position adjacent to the computing device. Furthermore, the connector is capable of extending from the housing of the stylus into a first position and also retracting into the stylus housing into a second position.

Abstract: An interlocking system for connecting a programmable logic controller and a power supply of an industrial control and automation system is provided. The interlocking system includes features configured to facilitate coupling with a panel or rail and a plurality of vertical slots and a latch disposed on a side surface of the power supply. The latch includes a first attachment feature disposed along a flexible tongue cantilevered proximate an opening in a housing of the power supply such that the tongue can flex into the opening. The locking head includes a latching part for inserting into a slot on a casing of a portable computer when the base turns to a first position relative to the housing so that the latching part protrudes outside the housing. When the locking plate is pressed down so as to separate the latching part from the locking plate and the locking head rotates relative to the locking plate, the latching part cannot separate from the slot. The fixing module further includes a resilient component for pushing the locking plate.

The apparatus may be configured in accordance with ergonomic principles and use one or two hands to generate the data signals. The apparatus may include a set of domes that are shaped and contoured to conform to the shape of hands in a relaxed state and to distribute pressures across the splayed underside of the user's hand. Each dome may be capable of movement in a plurality of directions extending radially from a home position to generate the data signal or a portion of the data signal. The two-handed implementation disclosed utilizes input movements that enable keystroke actuation via only slight arm or hand movement, no finger movement being required.
