    Abstract: Provided is a safety directional indicator to improve highway safety. Embodiments of the invention include devices for guiding a driver of a vehicle in a desired direction, typically away from highway workers, pedestrians, curbs, and opposing lanes of traffic. Specifically included is a safety directional indicator system comprising a flexible belt with a plurality of light transmitting bars disposed along the belt and having a plurality of LEDs disposed at one elongated end of each light transmitting bar and in operable communication with a control system for illuminating the LEDs in a manner to indicate a direction for traffic. Safety devices according to the invention can be stand-alone devices, devices capable of being attached to objects or structures at a highway scene, or configured to be worn on a person's body. An object of the safety devices according to embodiments of the invention is to increase driver awareness of highway situations especially during conditions of restricted visibility.

    Abstract: Safety vests and garments are for enhancing the visibility of a wearer in low-light, poor vision conditions. The safety garment has a first reflective layer, a second layer of reflective tape, physically attaching Electro Illuminating Wire under the inside edge of the reflect tape that maybe sewn or glued secures the Electro Illuminating Wire in place. Electro Illuminating Wire is then connected to a standard battery pack of old circuitry. Physically attaching the Electro Illuminating Wire to safety garments, creates a new environment, new area for a brighter and versatile safety garment. The Electro Illuminating Wire adds greater visibility to safety garments. Wearers have the option to turn on a bright solid light or bright blinking light, simply by pressing a button. This adding even greater visibility to wearers. Stopping injury or even death.

The embedded circuitry is flexible and connects the control to the embedded plurality of lights. Preferably LED lights are importantly arranged in sets with rows of three, with a row width of about 3½ inches. Rows are arranged in side-by-side columns with column heights of about 15 inches. Rows of the front proximal to the first end are disposed on either side of the front division. A single grouping of three columns with three rows in each is arranged centrally most proximal to the second end. Row width and set arrangements provide visibility from virtually any angle by which a user may be viewed. Set size also provides distant viewing of a user.
