Base Structure Patents (Class 362/172)
  • Patent number: 6869200
Abstract: The present invention provides for a jack-o-lantern lid mounted candle holder in the form of a shaped rod. The shaped portions of the rod are formed in integrally connecting segments. A candle mount portion, a candle base support portion, a vertical hanging portion, and a lid attachment portion form the candle holder. The rod material forming the candle mount portion is shaped to be substantially circular having one end of the rod overlapping and completing the circle where the candle base support portion begins. The overlapping end of the circular portion allows the user to adjust the compressible, extendable rod firmly to hold candles of different diameters. A candle may be placed within the candle mount portion by extending the candle mount portion outwards to enlarge the diameter of the candle mount portion's circular segment. The candle base support portion has a vertical leg segment that begins at the candle mount portion and extends vertically to a straight edge segment.

  • Patent number: 6595771
Abstract: A safety candleholder comprises a seat, a center of the seat having a hollow groove base; an outer side of the groove base being installed with an inner ring and an outer ring; inner walls of the inner ring and the outer ring being installed with inner thread portions; a plurality of via holes being formed at a bottom of the seat; the inner lampshade being installed with an opening; an outer side of the opening having a flange; a diameter of the opening being smaller than a diameter of the candle; and an outer lampshade screwedly fixed to the outer ring, thereby, an annular groove being formed between the two lampshade so that air can flow in the annular groove; an upper end of the outer lampshade having an opening; an outer side of the opening being installed with an annular flange, thus, a safety candleholder being formed.

Abstract: A flashlight device comprises a cylindrical casing defined by a top end, a bottom end, and an outer periphery sectioned into an upper tube and a lower tube, a first light emitter for flicker luminance, a second light emitter for steady luminance, and a wing stand including a ring having a rim and arms each having a base. The ring is slidably carried on the cylindrical casing to move up and down between the top end and the bottom end. Each arm collapsibly radiates from the rim to be either collapsed to the outer periphery or flapped open and the ring lowered.

  • Patent number: 6264345
Abstract: A one-piece, drip preventing follower of transparent glass has an annular shoulder sitting on an upper shoulder of the candle formed with a central, wick receiving opening with a lip from which extends an outwardly and upwardly flaring portion providing a melted wax receiving bowl. A skirt depends from the annular shoulder spaced from and longer than the candle body for telescopically receiving a candlestick providing guided descent of the follower. The annular lip has an upwardly inclined, flat or convex, annular optical face providing an optical aperture aligned to receive, light refracted through the melted wax from the candle flame for transmission by total internal reflection down the entire length of the skirt, the lower end of which is coated with a suitably fluorescent material, providing a pleasing bright ring of light, both decorative and an additional source of illumination.

  • Patent number: 6030093
Abstract: A multiple candle lantern designed to be used with a plurality of tube candles. The candle lantern includes an upper cover that selectively attaches to a lower base and a heat shield disposed over the top opening of the upper cover. The lower base has a plurality of tube candle recessed spaces formed thereon which hold a tube candle in a longitudinally aligned position thereon. Each tube candle includes a candle longitudinally aligned inside a metal outer tube. A spring is disposed between the lower base and the candle which keeps the candle's wick extending from the upper hole formed on the tube as the candle burns. Formed on the sides of the upper cover near the lower edge are a plurality of air delivery slots which deliver ventilation air directly into the candle lantern and against the sides of the tube candles.

  • Patent number: 5688040
Abstract: A portable candle lantern with safety features designed to be used with a tub candle. The candle lantern includes an upper cover that selectively attaches to a lower base. The lower base has a plurality of feet with enable it to be supported in an elevated position on a support surface. Located inside the lower base is a candle holding assembly which removably holds a tub candle in an elevated, longitudinally aligned position therein. Formed inside the lower base is a centrally located, longitudinally aligned, upward extending, air delivery tube which delivers cool air directly against the sides of the tub candle and the candle holding assembly. By delivering cool air in this manner, the temperature inside the candle lantern is reduced thereby preventing a "flash" condition from occurring. Also, a collection cavity is formed between the air delivery tube and the sides of the lower base in which spilled wax from the tub candle is collected.
