With Means To Position Plural Light Sources Colinearly Patents (Class 362/219)
  • Patent number: 8002433
Abstract: The decorative light mount apparatus provides for permanent support of lights and light strings to a structure. The right angle member provides for light wiring to be wire tired or fastened otherwise, to the gapped risers of the tie plates, so that lights are extended from the horizontal length of the right angle member. The right angle member is supported on a structure via the hinge that is fastened to the right angle member. The hinge allows the right angle member to be pivoted, positioning the vertical length of the right angle member either vertically upward, vertically downward, or even angled from the downward vertical. The lock member provides fastening of the right angle member so that the lights are visibly concealed. Release of the wing nut allows the right angle member to pivot upwardly to position lights in a downward and visible mode.

Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, lamps, a diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing member. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and sidewalls together providing a receiving space. The lamps are arranged substantially parallel to each other on the bottom plate. The diffusion plate is disposed over the lamps. The lamp-fixing member includes a body portion extending substantially perpendicular to the lamps, a buffer protruding upwardly from the body portion, a diffusion plate supporting portion protruding from the buffer to support the diffusion plate and a lamp-fixing portion formed at the body portion to fix the lamps. Therefore, the buffer having elasticity is formed at an area at which the diffusion plate supporting portion is formed, so that rubbing between the diffusion plate and the diffusion plate supporting portion may be reduced.

Abstract: A LED-based replacement light for a fluorescent socket is constructed such that an entirety of a radially outer portion of a tubular housing at least partially defined by a high-dielectric light transmitting portion is formed of a high-dielectric material. Forming a radially outer portion of the tubular housing of a high-dielectric material prevents a person handling the light from being shocked as a result of capacitive coupling occurring when the LED-based replacement light is installed one end at a time. A circuit board is in thermally conductive relation with the tubular housing, allowing for conduction of heat generated by the LEDs from a side of circuit board opposite the LEDs to the tubular housing for dissipation to the ambient environment.
