  • Patent number: 8760061
Abstract: The present invention provides an LED light string color mixing and synchronization circuit, in which each of LED lights composed of an LED light string includes two input terminals and two output terminals. The two input terminals are respectively an input terminal of reverse parallel connection of any two of three primary light-emitting chips of R, G, B and an anode input terminal of the remaining primary light-emitting chip and the two output terminals are respectively an output terminal of reverse parallel connection of any two of three primary light-emitting chips of R, G, B and a cathode output terminal of the remaining primary light-emitting chip. Thus, each of the LED lights of the LED light string is connected in a two-input two-output series connection to form a light string arrangement with two terminals thereof in combination with four electrical wires.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a grid-shaped lighting module (13; 23) comprising: a plurality of electrically conducting wires (15a-b) defining a grid with nodes (16a-c); and a plurality of solid-state light-sources (17a-c) each being arranged at a respective one of the nodes and connected to two electrically conducting wires of the plurality of electrically conducting wires. The electrically conducting wires (15a-b) are pleated such that the grid-shaped lighting module (13; 23) exhibits a 3D-topography. Various embodiments of the present invention provide improved mechanical stability and allows for thin illumination panels based on the grid-shaped lighting module.

Abstract: The present invention comprise a flag illumination assembly that both (i) illuminates an associated flag from a vertical edge of the flag and (ii) swivels with the edge of the flag as the flag is tossed in the wind. The foregoing facilitates illumination of the flag regardless of the direction of the wind. Further, a simmering effect is often created as a result of natural undulations of the flag in wind relative to the beams of light being directed thereon from the illumination assembly.

Abstract: Power LEDs are implanted in a specially designed printed circuit board (PCB) that is known in the art as a Metal Core Printed Circuit Board (MCPCB). The MCPCB is bended over to so as to have rounded corners having a radius that is not smaller than a determined value depending of the overall thickness of the MCPCB and other factors without any negative effects on the insulating layer and copper traces in the area of bending. In this manner, the surface area of the heat sink used in an LED nail care curing appliance is increased. The MCPCB with installed LEDs with rounded corners thereby follows the natural curvature (based on the shape of a human hand) of the appliance housing, eliminating the need for additional heat sinks or fans to reduce the heat generated by the LEDs.

  • Patent number: 8733973
Abstract: A lighting device has a base body of translucent material, in which several light-emitting diodes, which are applied to a flexible adhesive strip having integrated conductors, are arranged at intervals. A cavity is milled into the rear of the base body, the width and length of the cavity being slightly smaller than the width and length of the base body. A closed edge web is created along the periphery of the base body. An adhesive strip having light-emitting diodes is applied to the interior side of the edge web over the entire length in such a way that light-emitting diodes are arranged on the interior sides of opposing edge web sections. The light-emitting diodes illuminate a solid section of the base body in front of the cavity and produce a high luminous density on the front side. The rear side of the cavity is closed by a cover.
